If you had a really bright cathode at the bottom of your monitor it may distract or blind you from seeing the distant avatar. The Antec LED tube light also has a feature to keep the LEDs on all the time. TechwareLabs found the always on feature nice when the PC sat idle, which would grab the passer by’s eye. We then switched it back to vibration sensitive mode while playing a game. Of course we got a real kick out of listening to team mates speaking to us within the game and having the LED light flicker to their voice. This brings us back to the days of KIT in Knight Rider. We sat the sensor of the LED tube on the PC’s Sub woofer which kept the LEDs pretty busy. By far the did bring the level of playing games to a more in-depth level, which everyone should experience in a dim-lit room and a great first person shooter.

Conclusion:
The Antec ILR LED tube light may be another PC flare to the avid gamer who may already decked out their PC will all the neon one can handle, but for the gamer or average PC user, this is a nice and not expensive addition. The draw back may be that it isn’t as bright of the more common cathode tube on the market, but you may be looking for a tube light that isn’t over powering your line of sight while playing of just using your PC. So for the money and features, this product is one that TechwareLabs thinks if you don’t already have one you should check out Antec’s ILR LED tube light to add some "bling" to your rig.
