Saitek Obsidian Wireless Mouse

Author:  Michael Lynch
Date:  2007.08.15
Topic:  Peripherals
Provider:  Saitek
Manufacturer:  Saitek

Conclusion:

Pros:
Impressive look
Spare Battery, easy to change
Detachable USB Wireless Receiver
Plug n Play
Ambidextrous
Wireless
Cons:
Touch Sensitive Scrolling
No Software/Drivers
Side Buttons to easy to press
Short Battery Life

The Obsidian is very sleek and has an impressive look.  The fact that the mouse is ambidextrous is nice and makes it a more universal peripheral.  This could prove to be useful if you and your spouse or a friend are dominant in different hands.  Having the touch sensitive scroll was a great idea but overall became more of a hassle than the convenience that it provided.
