Benchmarks and Test Setup:

To test the capabilities of the EVGA 8800 GT KO video card, we ran our tests under Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate operating system with Service Pack 1 installed, which installed quite a long list of operating system fixes that helped us by preventing us from having any issues with the tests we intended to run.
We ran the tests with Nvidia's latest drivers, the 175.16 WHQL certified drivers for Windows Vista that support the GeForce 6, 7, 8 and 9 series of GPU's. The tests consisted of running 3DMark06, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4 and Crysis. The Crysis benchmarks were run in both DirectX9 and DirectX10 graphic modes.
The benchmark tests were run in 1680 x 1050 and 1920 x 1080 resolutions on a 37" Westinghouse 37w3 HDTV digital monitor without Anti-Aliasing or Anisotropic filtering to provide our readers with two common resolutions that they can use as guidelines for performance comparisons they might expect with their own resolution.

Next we look at the first of our benckmarks run in 3DMark06.
