Here we get a first look at Sapphires new Dual-X Cooling system. 5 Copper heat pipes on 2 fans.  Should cool rather well.  We’ll test this in our Synthetic Benchmarking

The 7950 is powered by 2x 6pin power connectors.  Sapphire has included adapters with the kit for easy integration into any setup.

1x DVI Dual Link, 2x Mini-DP, 1x HDMi 1.4a Bios Switch.  2nd bios allows for a higher maximum overclock and a more aggressive fan profile

Finally we get a better look at Dual-X.  5 Copper Heat pipes with Direct Contact on the chip itself. With the heat sink spanning the length of the card and thermal covers on the Memory Chips we should be cooling quite well. We’ll see for certain in our Synthetic Benchmarking section.

Overclocking

Along with AMDs Catalyst Control Center giving you the option to overclock Sapphire has included their TRIXX tweaking software.  Using the standard bios (Bios switch in position 1), we were able to achieve a stable overclock to 1000MHz Core Clock and 1350MHz Memory Clock (a 20% overclock from original 7950 core clock and a 10% overclock from the OC edition).

  1. No offense intended Ben, but you need to get the marbles out of your mouth. I can’t understand half of what you are saying, most importantly the max stress temp. It could be only me, but you might want to retake the video, or at least clean up the audio. Thanks
