Lets take a look at how Sapphire has boxed the Vapor-X 6850 and what goodies they have included.
Sapphires boxing of the 6850 Vapor-X is sufficient enough to keep the card safe. The static bag has a warning that “You must connect this graphics board to the computers power supply” with detailed instructions on how to do so. Noted.
Getting our first looks at the card shows how sleek and sexy it looks, keeping with the Vapor-X theme. The card takes up 2 slots and the chrome “daggers” really give the illusion that this card is longer than it is.
The I/O shows plenty of ports to be compatible with any monitor setup. Only downside is in order to have an Eyefinity setup one of the monitors must have a display port or you’re forced to go out and buy a mini display port to DVI adapter. This is pretty standard throughout ATI Cards, but still worth mentioning.
Continuing our deboxing, we find the box of goodies and adapters. 1x DVI-VGA Adapter, 1x Crossfire bridge, 2x Molex-6pin adaptor, 1x Mini-DP to DP, 1x 2m HDMI Cable, and documentation/driver cd. We also find access to Sapphires Select Club which brings some nice rewards but most importantly access to their TRIXX overclocking software. I would like to see a mini DP to DVI adapter in case you don’t have a monitor supporting DP.
