SKYlasers 125mw Green Laser

We of course set up our laser on a starry night and set about trying to capture the intense solid beam created by the SKYlasers 125mw Green. Check out our results:

As you can see the beam is awesome at night. During the day the beam can be seen as well, it is simply far less bright and noticable.

Additional extra touches on the SKYlasers 125mw Green laser is a blue indicator light that comes on when the unit is on.We are not really sure why it was included or its functionality beyond letting you know the unit is on.

Other Features:

IR filtered. All SKYlasers green laser pointers are equipped with an infrared filter. The IR filter is an important part of all high power green laser pointers. Green lasers without IR filters emit a fair amount of infrared radiation that can be potentially hazardous to your eyes. The IR filter minimizes this.

Solid Metal Construction. SKYlasers laser pointers are constructed of high grade brass which acts as a heat sink for the laser pointer. The solid metal casing also adds to the durability and feel of the laser pointer.

6 Months Warranty. All high power green laser pointers come with a 6 months warranty. If your green laser pointer breaks (due to a manufacturer’s defect) within the warranty period, SKYlasers will repair or replace your laser pointer free of charge. No questions asked!

Testing:

We took the SKYlasers 125mw Green laser down to the University of central Florida to visit CREOL (The Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers). There we were assisted by one of many labs in testing our unit to see if it really did reach 125mw. We did this by pointing the laser into a special meter designed to measure the power of specific wavelength lasers. After multiple runs lasting between 15 to 20 seconds each we found that after an initial spike up to approximately 140mw the unit came to rest at about 115 to 122mw. Given that our batteries were used several times we feel confident in the rating assigned by SKYlasers for our unit.

  1. wow, I just like to use a green laser pointer for astronomy stargazing at night. I am quite enjoyed the time I am surrounded by lots of stars and constellations.
