The My Passport Ultra’s box outlines all the key features and specs of the drive that you would need to know. Inside the box you will find the drive itself along with a 1ft USB cable and a carry bag.

Our particular sample today is the blue 1TB version but 500GB and 2TB versions are available as well in red, black, blue, and titanium.
The whole drive has a very simple, sleek design with rounded edges and a slim profile. Small rubber feet on the underside help it stay planted on your desk and the included USB 3.0 cable plugs right in to the side.

Included with the Ultra is WD SmartWare, a backup utility. You can schedule backups to either the drive or your Dropbox, choose what types or which specific files you would like backed up, and retrieve files that you have previously backed up.
While not particularly powerful, SmartWare is very easy to use and encourages regular backup practices, something we should probably all do more often. For a bundled software it is very nice.
