Default M$ Spyware

What does everyone think of it? So far a lot of things have gotten past it. Only Adware has found them (94 total)

Irony.

The way I see it, no single program is going to do the job. I've always had to use both Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware to scan for crap so one more program to help in the fight is welcome. The only real way to fight this problem is for law makers to step up and make it illegal for companies to practice such behavior. A personal computer is just that... personal! It's private property and installing software without permission should be a serious crime. Why companies like MS don't sponsor bills supporting this is beyond me. They have tons of money they could use to lobby congress to pass such bills but yet they decide to purchase a company that makes anti-spyware software. You would think the money they would save on tech support would outweigh the cost of buying other companies but it appears they are thinking the sales of the software are more important.

whats in it for them if they lobby to get rid of it? if they buy the companies they can capitalize off of our problems. thats why it M$, not MS.
