Default ATI 3.1 Drivers are trash..

Allstarshop.com was nice enough (or something enough) to believe my white lie and sent me back a new card.. Everything was well so i decided to go to 3.1 drivers.. d3d and open gl were not accessible and to make a long story short.. all hell broke loose.. I spent 30 mins trying to get rid of them and eventualy got 3.0 back.. Now i'm good as new. It might be something i did but approach 3.1 with caution.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been running the 3.1 Catalyst drivers for a month without issue on my 9700 Pro in Win XP Pro. Did you uninstall the 3.0 drivers before installing the 3.1s?
