Default paperport9 generated errors

Has anyone ran into the problem of Paperport9 generating errors when it
is started, causing Win2000 professional to closed the paprport.exe? I have tried re-installing it, but it has done this from the first install.

Thanks,

Gene

Default paprport.exe has generated errors (in Windows 2000)

Gene--I am having a similar problem using PaperPort and ScanDirect (I'm not sure of the level) and it appears to be caused by a conflict with Adobe Acrobat. When I searched the error message through Google, I found a page on the Adobe website that suggested the following (with a link):

Install the paperportaf.exe patch from ScanSoft's FTP site at ftp://ftp.scansoft.com/pub/updates/p...aperportaf.exe, and then restart the computer.

I have downloaded the patch but as yet cannot stop it from running every time I try to open a SacnSoft program. Maybe you will have better luck.
