On Christmas Eve, my mom's family all gets together either at her house, or recently my aunt's house for a nice dinner and gift exchange between aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc. This year, I believe the count was up to 20 people, including my cousin's 1-year-old, so it can be a pretty crazy time. My brother and I then spend the night at my parents' house, and do a little gift exchange with our immediate family in the morning, interrupted by a home-made brunch. It's a pretty good experience, except everyone tends to like to wake up before I would ;).

My main gift this year was airfare and ticket to an Alaskan cruise. I'm taking a week off work in June to join my parents for their wedding anniversary vacation on a Royal Caribbean cruise line, as their main gift to me. It should be a pretty good time, I'd imagine, but unfortunately my girlfriend cannot join me, which could make it a rough time.

Other than that, I got shoes, socks, pants (not exciting, but I needed some), gift cards to Best Buy, Caribou, Mr. Movies and Target, and some other boring necessities (laundry detergent, body wash...etc.). It wasn't a hugely exciting Christmas, but it was still nice.

I'm glad to hear that it seems like everyone's holidays have been going well. I took half of Thursday and all of Friday off of work, which was great, but it's back to work on Monday :(.

yea same back to work on monday for me too.. :(
but on thursday I got off work early too... to go get a cavity filled! long story short, it was the worst dental experience ever for me.. but.. yea.. nothing like having to eat on one side of your mouth for a day to get you in the christmas spirit!

I'm having trouble beating it. The game is so far simply so far beyond amazing, and fantastic, don't forget fantastic!. The enviorment is errie, and amazing. and I'm liking the story, at least so far (On my way to Nova Prospekt)

the i think the game is great and will win countless game of the year awards. I love this game.

Prometheus 12-26-2004 08:29 AM

of course it will its HALF LIFE 2

all i wanted in the game was more story I wanna know who the GMAN was and stuff.

They should have made the game 2x as long as had it on a dual layer DVD. I beat it in a day. (est gameplay time is 23 hrs)

I thought the enviroment was excellent too eerie and realistitc. But so doom 3 had a great engine too and that was higher than hl2 in my book it had much more story (relativly).

Major let down for me.

I want more than "Rise and Shiine.........Mr.Freeman" from a william shatner wannabe.

Jason425 12-26-2004 02:03 PM

lmao.. yea i'm disappointed in the lack of info on the g-man... and the way he talks is irritating.. but that's life.. valve can do whatever they want and everyone will still buy it.. :(

eviltechie 12-26-2004 02:08 PM

i still havent bought HL2 yet

im thinking of doing so when X800XL comes out

but who knows when X800XL will come out?
or will it even be out at all?
should i just get 6600GT AGP right now?
