Thanks so much for the info. I love the monkey island games and I'm planning to check out syberia too. I didn't even know there was a game of the Da Vinci code - hah!

Hate to double post but someone reccomended to bme today a game called Ico. Has anyone heard of it/played it?

Slashmire 05-31-2006 06:16 PM

Ico is a very interesting and unique kind of game. The basic plot is simple, rescue your mother. You have to guide her, bring her to places, and defeating shadows with your almighty stick. I have not finished it, but it is a very interesting adventure; the other game made by the same people "Shadows of the Colossus" is very interesting and beautiful as well.

ok, thanks, slashmire. That sounds like the sort of thing I might enjoy.

Although I don't really think many people would hate the game, I'd say to look at videos of Shadows of the Colossus...as it might not fit your genre. There's no "exploration" or "minions" just...amazingly detailed and gigantic colossi to kill.

Jason425 06-02-2006 10:57 AM

aren't colossi a form of minion?

Slashmire 06-02-2006 12:10 PM

Well then the question would be "minions of what?"

A minion is essentially a non-boss creature who is under the power of a greater enemy.

All these colossi are all "bosses" and do not have creature above them in their hierarchical structure

So no, not minions :)

Jason425 06-03-2006 10:50 PM

Oh... misinterpreted the usage of colossi.

Slashmire 06-04-2006 12:35 AM

Although if a collossus ended up being a minion...I'm really not sure what would rule above it that you could physically beat down ;)
