Infiltrate? That step alone is more than 95% of pretty much any hack (especially since any planned attack usually involves researching the target), and the part very few know anything at all about.

Yes, as you can see I did not elaborate at all. Here is an article that I found to be a wonderful read for all the curious crackers out there. An ethical perspective on hacking. If your going to be a hacker at least benefit the community. Linux was built by hackers and is a great example of a lot of good that can come out of "hacking."

A passion to learn is what we all need if we ever want a daunting technical prowess.

hey napster-
sorry for the delay- but I've been crushed at work lately...
I guess i was wondering how much of a time investment is this
going to require? As I'm trying to make a simple point and
somehow balance it against present stress and workload-
I get the feeling you're going to tell me that there are no fast
and easy shortcuts to make this particular point...
I guess any other pointers or recipes you can think of will be helpful
for example- after I learn linux will it be apparent how to proceed?
anyway thanks again and hope all is well with you

also thanks for the ethical hacker statement-
I (would normally) agree completely
