I worked theaching word and powerpoint I put seti on 15 733 mhz
celeries on weekends they cold work undisturbed and get all the cpu time. Now I'm just running it on this amd K6-II @ 574mhz so it takes a few days per unit. |
As soon as my email is back up - I'll create a techwarelabs group. Should be in the next 24 hours or so.
I'll post the info asap. |
:)
<<< AVERAGING 1 PACKET EVERY 11 HOURS, IS THAT GOOD OR BAD..?? ;)
|
That's about average AI.
|
Hmmm
Odd, last packet took 8 hours 50 somthing minutes..? woner why..?? computer has been on the same time. Strange. are different packets differen sizes or..?
|
I think it depends on how much you use the computer, if it is on
a you're not doing anything on it seti will have all the cpu time. |
Hmmm...
Odd! I was off all day yesterday and my comp is always on and it took over 12 hours, I was on it allot today and it took a bit over 8!!! Strange :) mabey the packets or units come in differnt sizes :) Oh well it's cool I am glad to help!
|
Could be different sizes as well or maybe they differ in how hard they
are to compute. |
Yes, the data segments the server distributes are different sizes.
Jazzman: I'm not participating in SETI (as I said in an earlier post), but rather UD. Sometimes it does take my computer upwards of 50 hours to finish a particular project though, so it really depends on a combination of factors. |
Sorry about the delay. I created a TechwareLabs group for us. Just do a search for "TWL SETI Team" and join up. If you have any problems, let me know.
