Of course I want to win some free stuff...I posted in the wrong place the first time...go figure.

I'm holding my breath until the results are announced, so please take pity on my and get me breathing again by telling me I have won something.

I never win anything...but regardless, I think TechwareLabs is one of the best forums around. By the way, I posted a couple of weeks ago asking where everyone was...and did suggest a giveaway might be a way to get the boards going again. Does that count for anything??? Like maybe the Network switch...or some RAM...or...hey, why don't you guys throw in a flat screen monitor or something. Hey, you can't blame a guy for trying.

Besides that, my wife keeps telling me I'm spending too much on my computer equipment and she has taken my credit card away and has possession of the check book. HELP me please!!!! I just gotta have something else to play with....

I desperatly need to win

I need some new gear, I have an old Voodoo 3 3500 video card and a Sound Blaster Live Value sound card. I buy a PC gamer from the store pop in the CD-ROM and load the demo, try to run the demos (any of them) and get told my graphics card is to pathetic to even run the demo. I was able to scrape up some money for a new MOBO, processor, and ram, I was running an AMD K6-2 500 with 256meg on a Diamond Centronics C200. Now I'm running a Gigabyte GA7VRX mobo with and AMD Athlon XP 2000 and 256 megs of PC 2100 DDR, but it took me a long time to save up for it, and its going to take me quite a bit longer to get a decent graphics card. HELP! I could use just about any gear I can come up with. I have a pathetic stock case p/s and cpu cooler.

Okay I'm done whining now.

ARGH. I continually forget to login when posting. So used to being prompted by other boards.

I don't have any kids to whine about, don't have a wife to nag me (though my ex has started calling me again :/), and I can't use the purchase of 2 new ATVs as an excuse for needing new comp gear... but I'd like some anyway.

I'm a born-again college student living in River W. (penny pinching - wisco heads know whats up), can't afford heat cuz I have to pay for my cable modem, and surviving on ramen. so, please provide me with a little entertainment in my already meager existence by hooking up some gear.

I would do great with a cd burner and a bit of memory, the cooler seems sweet although i already have a good one, The reasons i cant buy these is that a students life is quite hard when you have too pay your rent and all the food and stuff so if you have pitty for a poor student please give me a few things.

i cut 4 lawns on the weekend, and went and bought 2 30gb maxtor ata 133s on specail sell at compusa. glad i did or i wouldnt be able to get a computer under 500. i dont even have a drive for this system, im gonna have to reuse my old aopen24x instead of byuing a cdrw. have to have it under 450 because my mom is taking my 50 dollars i borrowed from her to get one of the drives.

my saga begins a year ago. my mom was suppsosed to give me 800 to build a computer, but back then everything was expensive as hell, so then i said like 1000, or 1500. then she lied and didnt give me any money saying that i was the cause and kept going up. i said could i have like 300 to get a new hd and a cdburner, but she said no and didnt give me shit. this was last october/november.

then in decemeber after working for a woman for 3months doing data entry, [was a teacher that didnt put any grades or write reports for students for 3 months and i had to do it] i got $400. the problem was i didnt have a bank account so i gave it to my mom and i was only able to buy 250 worth of stuff. i bought an aopen 24cd burner[the worst ever made] and a gf2 mx400 pci and 128mb pc100. previous to that, i had [and still using now writing this] celeron 500 [66mhz fsb], 64mb pc100, and onboard graphics and a slow loud maxtor 10gb 5400rpm with lots of damaged clusters, no lie. this computer is from 99, and was a "budget" computer then. that upgrade was awesome. i could play max payne [months after it had been out] i could play wolfenstein and all the games. well most of them. i could only play in 800x600 or 640*480 with everything on minium. im supprised ive been able to play as many games as i have. but i cant anymore. mohaa is probably the last game that will "barely" be able to run on this system. ut2003 is a joke, battlfe field 1942 is a joke and most of the latest gen of gmae that have come out in 02 have sucked on this box.

thats why im happy im getting this sytem. for some people my new setup would be a joke, but for me its like 19x better than a 500celly. i was suppose to get 1000, but my sister said she would give me 500 now and 500 on my bday. my bday is in april! how am i supposed to waait and be using a computer that will be 4 years+ old then. this computer is older than my 3.5 nefue.

anyway, ill take whatever you can give me, however, i would really want a new monitor and digital camera. right now and for the last 3 years ive had this box its had a CHEAP ASS MGC "15". i have 15" in quotes because its rated at 13.8 viewable, but thats a lie. its 8.5*11.. i know because i can fit a piece of paper over it peefectly. my screen is so small its not funny. when i had my theoretical $1000, i would get out a tape measure and pull 18.1 inches viewable and think thats what my new samsung monitor would be like. i couldnt even begin to imagine what that must be like having something that great. with the new system im ordering, it is a bit low on stats, but still a good system. i would really like a nice samsung 900nf or 900ift, or a sony g450 or g550 :nod:! i also want a digital camera. i really need a big monitor and a digital camera. even 2megapixels is fine[fuji fine pix 2800 :P]. also, during the last 6 months ive had the suffer by building 2 computers for my moms friends, and then playing games on them, then having to go back to my 500celeron, :cry:. im not lying about any of this either my 3dmark scores arnt even over 2000. look here. even in 800*600 it dosent go over 2000, lol.

Only thing it's worth is to type up reports. Internet, forget it. Even one prize would be totally exelent. That and the fact that i have never won anything in my life.
