*looks around at jason hoping for a answer*

a guess.....

You might try downloading sound drivers for win 98

Vineel 12-27-2003 01:31 AM

Ok, that sounds good to me. Would I find the drivers on my mobo's main site? Because the only one I found was Realtek Avance ALC AC'97 Audio Drivers for Win98SE and up. The page is http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppor...UID=528&kind=1 if you want to go check it out. When its done downloading, I'll install them.

new sound card drivers or the game just sucks? So you haven't overclocked anything? There could be a funky setting in the bios - a bios update could be in order anyway.

sound card drivers i guess

Vineel 12-27-2003 01:37 AM

I don't have a sound card though - my sound is built into the mobo. Oh, and I installed that thing I said I was downloading and the sound is just louder and clearer now. Its still jarbled... :/

By the way, this brings me to another very important point: HOW DO I UPDATE THE BIOS? Do I just download the patch thingy or whatever from MSI's website and run the .exe file in it? Or is there something special I have to do to it? Cuz I ran the file, but it just seems like it took WAY too short to update anything and I didn't notice any changes and it never said anything like "your BIOS are now updated" or anything...

mobo drivers then

Vineel 12-27-2003 02:16 AM

Um, yeah... Which ones?

I started playing MW3, which works perfectly now except for a few minor details (such as your aiming cursor moving slightly when you're on a large hill or the missle turret that didn't show up until you were right in front of it) and the sound isn't weird on that, so I'm not really sure what's wrong with the Zoombinis game. It runs perfectly on my laptop and on my dad's computer, so I know it works. I'm going to try some of the other games that don't work tomorrow. I'm tired and its 4 hrs. past my "bed time" so... G'night you two and thanks for the help so far. C ya later on this morning.

Prometheus 12-27-2003 02:17 AM

the current ones

Jason425 12-27-2003 02:34 AM

for me i just run a prog and it does it.. sometimes you have to do it through dos.. (if it screws up in dos you're toast.. game over.. ) bios updating is risky (lost a video card and mobo doing it.. but it was my fault both times.. well vid for sure dunno mobo) oh and there are still drivers for your sound.. even though it's not a card.
