Chef, what you mean by that? i am just saying people i know, not necessarily in these forums, but people are just generally getting caught up in cooling their systems all the while thinking that they are going to have this very fast system because of it, and it simply isnt true.

Hey Chef you forgot two fans (if you count you Power Supply fan) and my Motherboard came with one on the northbridge from the factory.  It's a FIC az11ea.  Not a big fan but comes on there when you get it.  ;D

Yhea it's a kt133a.  I think the main diffrence is kt133a added the 133/266 MHz front side bus.  Not sure but I think kt133 was limited to 100 unless it was double pumped.

Well its the same as modifying cars. You take what you have and make it run as fast as it will go and if it requires a $2500 blower (that you can afford) then do it. Its all preferance its all fun its all good. Just cuz you dont see a neccessity doesnt mean its not fun and enjoyable to others. Shit just look at the Tickle Me Elmo dolls what the fuk were they thinkin??:) Its all good and i see where you are coming from but my rebutle is I like the challenge. By challenge i mean yes by adding fans i cool my components but at the same time i create noinse. So now i have to get rid of the noise. This new project its a never ending cycle of modification and i do it cuz its fun i like it and it beats the Tickle Me Elmo crap :)

What did I mean by what ??
By posting that topic ? Well just couple of thoughts. I don't think cooling is sth that worst SO MUCH time to spend on it -> personal opinion.
When we started with athlons, it was unusually hot CPU (literally) even with all these weird (so it looked then) coolers, so one experienced dude said "Relax, If you can touch the heat sink, CPU is just fine".
I can't remember single case when sth screwed up, because standard cooling was used.

Cheers
Chef

yeah, savage, you are right that our's is 100/133 ddr fsb with 133 mhz dimm sockets, and the kt133 is 100 ddr fsb with 133 mhz dimm sockets (it is the ram for the 133 in kt133).

chef, nevermind, i was just being over defensive to the following thinking you might have been sarcastic:
"Experimenting on your machine without appropriate skills (I know, I know you have them)" but i can see i was just being defensive.

knight i know what you are talking about and see it more clearly but i stand in the same place.
