yea, AMD did used to have some stability problems b/c of differences in instruction sets causing hardware incompatibilities. But we're done with that now and probably will be forever. Unless, of course, that Intel's rip off of the x86-64 extensions is messed up and causes Intel to be incompatible with code written for AMD64 (you know, like windows 64). that'll be the day "This intel chip sucks. it's not compatible with mainstream software and hardware."
