Actually the 9800 XT is on the rise, or is actually coming out this month and is going to blow the 5900 out of the water. Sorry nVidia fans.

halogod50 10-09-2003 03:08 AM

haaa

nvidia sucks. there fx5200 card was choppy on half-life. ati will forever burn nvidia. xbox 2 has ati. thats smart.

gnogtr 10-09-2003 08:43 PM

I love the way he thinks.

vee_ess 10-10-2003 07:41 PM

Some how I'm not surprised! LOL

MIK3 10-10-2003 07:46 PM

If he needs to refer to a gaming console to back himself up, I am sorry. I was hoping that if he took part in this tech forum, he would back his bias statment up with facts and comparisons of authentic sites. Then again...we aren't all that brilliant.

Jason425 10-10-2003 09:40 PM

yea.. like mik3 i kept seeing people post in this god forsaken thread and read from 3on .. pretty lame, but entertaining nonetheless.. i dont like to play favorites most of the time. The only thing that i'm 90% set on is cpu.. other than that it's open!

mdefina 11-13-2003 01:31 AM

What is this 9900 picture???

Looks like Photo shop, plus the page is outdated and it's in Japanese as well as the fact it's built on the R350 chipset, so that would technically be the 9800XT with the most screwed up cooler and longest chipboard that I've ever seen. Sorry dude, don't pay attention to that nonsence.

11-14-2003 07:08 PM

Forgive me but I am very dumb. But my question is, ATI makes modem's right?

gnogtr 11-14-2003 09:38 PM

No, they make video cards and TV cards not modems. I don't know where you got that idea.

Uranium-235 11-14-2003 09:56 PM

just as I figured. that modem guy is the stupid spammer who knows exacly what he's talking about, but asking a stupid fscking question to annoy us

Thanks 11-14-2003 10:31 PM

Well all be, slap me silly and call me billy, I never knew that.

gnogtr 11-15-2003 11:42 AM

I wish you could kick him, but that would be impossible. I'm a mod for Splinter Cell and Beyond Good and Evil over on the UBI soft boards, and we don't allow guest posting, so I can just simply kick them.

Jason425 11-16-2003 12:06 PM

I don't like ati's lack of raw power, but I don't like nvidia's inability to display pretty images fast. Pretty nice comp.. Are you overclocked? Running raid? Why or why not?

11-19-2003 01:14 AM

jason how do you run 3dmarks 2k1 with dx 9 installed

Jason425 11-19-2003 01:24 AM

i just do..? What, does it not let you when you have dx9? With dx9 you can still play dx8 games. I'm not exactely sure of what you're asking.

gnogtr 11-19-2003 09:55 AM

ATI has raw power, how do you think they are able to keep up, and for the most part, beat nVidia with lower clock speeds and smaller coolers?

3dMark2001 SE

In response to the guest who couldn't get his 3Dmark2001 running because he has DirectX 9.0, he'll ned the newest version of 3DMark2001 SE. Here's more info in the FAQ:

http://service.futuremark.com/servle...SSUES&search=1

It gave me an error that I didn't have DirectX 8.1 because I had an older version of 3DMark and I had DirectX 9.0b installed. Just get the newest version and all will be fine. ;)
