Blah, blah, I don't like getting in these arguments, but if Kerry gets in this country is going to blow up. A terrorist is going to bomb the whitehouse. Bush may look and act dumb, but he's not. Look at what he did during 9-11. He did the right thing. If Al Gore was in the White House we wouldn't have found the one responsable. I never said Kerry wouldn't do a good job, I do like his economic plans, but I don't think he's what this country needs right now.
|
aparnatly bush didn't either.. since we're ass-raping iraq... and they don't have womd or anything.. DURING 9/11 he just sat there.. in that classroom.. and then he what, went on tv and told us we got pwned.. so?
|
....We attacked. We went after Osama. There is no way the Democrats would have done what he did. It was horrible what happened, but what would you have done. He had to sit back with his advisors and determine a stragedy. As for Iraq, I think we're almost through there, it'll be another couple of years before we pull out. Also, the bad economic situation is not based on tax cuts, it's based on Alan Greenspan. If he breaths wrong the economy goes bad. The reason the economy was good during the Clinton years was because of plans Bush Sr. put into effect that took a few years to work. Clinton changed everything and now the economy's bad again. I say give it a few years, it'll be fine.
I do believe Bush will get re-elected though, it's starting to look that way. Kerry is looking more and more like the crook he is. |
we're just getting started in iraq.. not attacking when we did would have garnered worldwide support and saved 1000 more american lives so far...
|
But if we didn't attack, they would have attacked again and we'd have lost more lives. War is about killing, so when someone dies it's just one of those things; it's unaviodable.
We all know that Kerry had a big say in the "underware on the heads" thing because they were hanging our ppl, and that was somehow ok because they kept putting the underware thing on the news. That's totally stupid, what we did may not have been right, but how does that make it worse than them haning our ppl off of bridges. And then somehow the underware thing stays in the news while our ppl are dying. The media always hates who we have in office, so you can't believe anything you hear anymore. What we did was the right thing, and the only country that doesn't respect us is France, and well, you know where they can go... |
that's why there are worldwide protests about the "war"?
|
That's because it's popular to care about those issues now. Look at Hollywood and the recording industry. All of a sudden, when people are starting to get real tired of the war, they care. They all wear the shirts and such. If these protesters really cared about loss of life, why do they ignore so many other things that lead to bigger losses?
Kerry says that he'll pull troops out in 6 months if he takes office. I hope that, if he does take office, it's another of his lies. gnogtr's absolutely right; at least Bush did take action. And for those who say it was about oil, we get over 60% of imported oil from North and South American countries, and about 5% from Iraq. BTW, only about 37% of our oil is imported to begin with. |
I do not understand , it was Saudies steering the planes NOT Iraqies,
Osama is from Saud Arabia NOT Iraq, Saddam had no WOMDs so why the attack on Iraq ??? Maybe plans born in the spring of 97 ? PNAC Their Principles |
yep.. daddy's work getting taken care of.. and the stability of the middle east protects our imports of oil.. that's what we were trying to accomplish, but as you can see it hasn't worked yet.
|
I don't have any doubt that it was "daddy's work" but we were unable to finish that because of Clinton. We attacked the Afganastan, and yes, a few months later we attacked Iraq. We had to get Iraq before they got us, they were next in line to attack us, I do believe they had weapons of mass destruction, and I believe they got them out of there before we could find them. It only makes sense. Saddam was a lier and cheat, and more ppl were killed under his reign, so you can look at it from the point of sacrificing a few lives to save thousands. We did the right thing. I was hell living under Saddam, so we had to take action.
