8) Hey, you folks forget your medication or what.
Canada has been part of most wars fought and will be when given good reason.
Let's not forget that much of the technology that the US uses was and is developed by Canada. Even now, the most recent advances in technology for urban warfare (which the US has been practicing with for this invasion) is from Canada.
Oh and the reason most Canadians don't scream too loudly about the taxes here, are the social, educational and health programs.
And before anyone jumps around thinking "Hey cuz you're a Canuck", it's 'cause I chose to live here and I do have stakes in the war; My brother is in the Gulf right now- Marine.
He and I don't agree about the invasion, but i would be more than happy to see Saddam removed. But i don't think the powerless Iraqi people should be made to suffer any more because of the Madman in power. :shake:

Dude, as long as he is in power, the Iraqi people will suffer, 2 million already murdered by this madman. He kills anyone that opposes him, family members and all. Had his own bro and his wife beheaded just a few yrs ago.

Now how would you remove him ? Except to overpower him and lock him up or better yet, kill him ! Then the Iraqi, Saudis, Iranians, as well as the whole world, ( including Canada ) and all other Arab countries could breath a lot easier.

there are two main sides of iraq

sadam's power controls the south eastern part of iraq where the fuel is and borders kuwait

there is the group who are against sadam but they live out of that area, mainly up north and west in the mountain ranges or deserts

Iraq has a history of invading Mid East countries. Iran and Kuwait were two of his targets. It's pretty plain what his intentions are. To gain control of the Mid East and it's oil. He's used chemical and biological warfare in the past and is trying to build a nuclear program. Common sense will tell you that if he had nuclear weapons he would either threaten to use them or use them out right.

For those of you out there that oppose the war on Iraq, ask yourself this... Would you want Saddam controlling the Mid East, it's oil, AND having nuclear weapons? If your answer is yes then your pretty dumb to say the least.

Oh yea, lets not forget the terms of the cease fire agreement Iraq signed after the Gulf War. The US left Saddam in power because of this agreement. He broke it so now it's time to pay the price.

If you ask me, we should drop a few nukes over there, move in and make everyone in the Mid East our bitches. Stop the radical Islamic clerics from brainwashing the young spreading hate against anyone that's NOT Islamic.

We've fought everyone's wars in the past, won them, and then given everything back to them just to have them laugh in our faces later on. We've liberated and supported whole continents only to have them rise up and hate us. For what? Because we have more things they they do? Because we don't believe in God the same way they do?

Is there ONE country in the entire world that has not benifited from the US? We give billions hard earned tax payers money to them, sacrifice our sons and doughters to defend them and they still dispise us. What will be enough to satisfy these people?

Very well said and very true. Anyone opposing the deposing of sadam, well, they just don't have a full deck, or they have been brainwashed by bad schools, bad government, bad news casting, etc, etc,.

Sadam has violated every agreement since 1992. Newspersons visiting and reporting on Iraq have told the world many time over that all reports in Iraq is that Sadam was/has been hiding all his weapons in schools, hospitals, masques, neighborhoods etc, knowing full well the USA does not target civilians - like he does- and to make the weapons harder to find. Why does these missile cases keep showing up ? Exactly what the news has been reporting for a yr or so.

The best thing sadam can do right now is disarm, step forward and tell the world where his weapons are hidden. Soon he will not have that option, when the U.S. Armed Forces locate and expose them, well, not the first canadian on here will then step up and say he was duped and he was wrong. They will be as silent then as a church mouse, but now they sure like to oppose the U.S whipping Sadams ass for good, and this time it will happen, soon, in a wk or so.

Well, I think those that oppose a war on Iraq hasn't taken the time to educate themselves on what has happened in the past, what is going on in the present, and what is likely to happen in the future.

I've lived in the Middle East. I've seen first hand how bad it is and the resentment those people have against anyone that don't believe the way they do. It's not just Americans they hate, they hate because they don't know any other way to feel. It's all they've been taught since they were born. For the last 20 years an entire race of absolute fanatics have been bred for one purpose.. to fight against anyone that don't believe they way they do. The Muslim and Islamic faith has become so tainted with hate it's become a cancer to the entire planet and has to be stopped before they start another World War. If it's not stopped now, then these fanatics will have nuclear weapons and the next World War might be the last war ever faught. For anyone....

Remove Saddam

"Saddam" needs to be removed. "Saddam" is the evil SOB. But I do think we knew this from before the first invasion. So lets not forget that the general populace of Iraq qnd Kuwait got their collective butts kicked in the last conflict whilst "Saddam" sat back and smoked his cigars and barely said 'hmm". >:)

Nuking Iraq probably won't get rid of Saddam. We need to go in, get his ass, and shoot him. That kind of precision and approach would get a lot more respect and support across the board. Walloping the whole Iraqi population will only create another Arab/(put whoever you like here) conflict.
The last thing we need are suicide bombers in the subway in NY and TO. :mad:

Blasting the middle east will only create more martyrs and terrorists because we would be insensitive to fail to recognise that those people need liberating, not an ass kicking.

I'm pretty sure that they'll be real cooperative and "trade" friendly with Saddam out of the way.
