PWNS Asus big time!
lol

seriously asus uses cheap parts
cheap capacitors to save them like 3 bucks per board

the next board i buy will probably from DFI

I'm looking into shuttle boards now that I am considering a SFF pc.

Jason425 11-10-2004 10:17 PM

yea.. I Oc'd a ghz so they're cheap and got pwned.. that's an exciting OC but come on.. i'm not getting phase change any time soon.. and wtf does SFF have to do with a big OC or DFI?

StinkyMojo 11-10-2004 11:16 PM

nothing.. ET said what his next board was gonna be and I said what mine was.

pwned because DFI is usually cheaper than Asus but uses better quality components and generally more stable even with moderate overclocking

better support too

the multiplier unlocking technology will be adapted by lots of mobo manufacturers soon

yea.. so I hear the k8v is one big fat pos.. some guy on hard forum was trying to sell it to me but I read too many bad things...

I haven't seen any bad asus intel boards, but there are a lot of AMD one's it seems.. the A7V coming to mind the most... *hugs p4p800*

eviltechie 11-11-2004 11:45 PM

yeah i have to say that Asus probably makes the worst brand name AMD boards now

yet noobs still go for it

so sad... sigh

im not an ASUS nut... i'm an MSI fan.. i've had about 3 MO Bo's by MSI and i liked them all... they are a little rusty on overclocking... but once you get the hang of it, it isn't too hard... :)

but those so called over clockers Mo Bo's are truely amazing.. *wishes he had one of those*

eviltechie 11-13-2004 01:30 PM

theres such a big difference btwn good overclocking boards and just "normal" boards

but price is not much of a difference
so makes me want to get rid of my epox for DFI just for the heck of it
hehehehe
