I took the one off for some reason a bit ago, cannot remeber why.. Think I used it on a case that only took a 60mm in the rear.. I went with an 8,000rpm 60mm ys tech fan for it and my chip overclocked runs at around 92-100F

eviltechie 01-11-2003 02:07 AM

isnt that loud though?

could you help me in deciding please

I would use the tmd fan, just figure out a way to keep it in the heatsink... Mabey try servo tape..?? that way you can still pull it apart for cleaning and then use more to stick it back... just a thought....

eviltechie 01-11-2003 02:21 AM

my friend told me to use wires
he said to drill 4 holes on the heatsink and loop wires through
and tie down the fan
there would be a gap is using tape
and i dont like tape as most of them gets sticky and gooey

Man I tell ya, the soundstorm onboard sound in the nforce boards has to be the crappiest setup made so far, I have been nothing but dissapointed by it and annoyed...By far the worst feature of the nforce boards...

Well people I am here to tell ya about a little cheap secret card out there that is worth it's weight in gold! It is the Chaintech 6 Channel Sound Card Model AV515M. The reason I know this sound card rocks the house, sounds great and has drivers that are a pleasure to use is that the same exact setup came in my kt333 and kt400 soyo dragon boards! That is the one feature I miss the most about useing the soyo board is that the sound really was great for pc sound and I have heard most all the available pc soundsetups and found the cheapy little cmi 8738 chip to be equal to the $100+ cards with ease! One thing I did not know is that they made my exact setup I had on my soyo boards in a single card pci version by chaintech!!! and I still have my fiberoptic / coax pci slot bridge that came with my soyo boards so guess what, it works on this card!!! I bought 2 of these babies for both systems "girls and mine" so I can be happy again :) People, I cannot reccomend this little baby anymore.. if your in need and do not wanna break the bank then BUY THIS CARD! I cannot understand how people were saying the onboard sound in the nforce boards was "great" I am here to tell ya it is CRAP and this card will solve your probs. It does not have a 6 out of 6 rating for nothing, with everyone praising it! Cost is only $16.00 + $4 shipping each!!! woohoo!

Update!! If you like blue, aopen makes this card also with the same fiberoptic / coax bridge as my soyo had...

Ah greasshopper, the trick is when you wanna upgrade, sell what ya have and a little cash into it to get what you want :) Also I have no idea actually how much outta pocket this rig cost me, I have been bying, selling and trading non stop to get this far *L*
