If Your School Has BESS: my friend from Limestone... or some place that started with a "L" (in maine) snuck into the adminastrators office and she found the password... email me at leipukri10@sad1.org, or send me a message when I'm on msn.... mkay! :D |

Bess security sucks if u have admins that know something
fortuniately for me i have system admins that dont know what they are doing security wise. it took them 4 months to track us down when we put doom95.exe onto the public server so that everyone could run it. the best way around bess is to get a flash drive. if the USB ports at your computer are disabled ur screwed
the best way to get around bess fully is to get a proxy https://www.proxify.com works nicely for me if i forget my flash drive at home, i have a very fast proxy on my flash drive. Mess with your system admins slow the internet down. if u have firefox or portable firefox type about:config in the address bar and hit enter change the following values to true network.http.pipelining and network.http.proxy.pipelining then change network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to a really big number, the bigger the number the more bandwidth u get and the less everyone else gets :) portableapps.com has a handy program called portable gaim, this allows u to access AIM, ICQ, Gadu-Gadu, Groupwise, IRC, Jabber, MSN, Napster, SILC, and YIM. this unfortuantely does not have talk from google, but since my admins suck they dont know that google now has a chat function and we use that to mess around too. |

|
that's a cool site, but something makes me wonder if they're going to somehow jack your password...
|
go to iphide.com ;)
|
Access to this web page is restricted at this time.
Reason: The Websense category "Proxy Avoidance" is filtered. URL: http://iphide.com/ they already got it :( |
Try this....
Evrything seems to get blocked eventually... now our school is using keyowrd filtering.... we use http://home.comcast.net/~dase818
But don't get caught! |
my school does not use bess. however i can not loginto myspace, somehow most proxies cannot complete that transaction?
|
i have been watching this forum for a while and i thik the website this website might come in handy
http://www.peacefire.org/ OR through a proxy http://www.prebuiltservers.com/cgi-b...fycrsviub.eli/ |
It is so interesting how school and education and everything has changed with the advent of pcs and the internet. I had a crude computer lab made up of osborne computers. Now kids have to thumb their noses at the school pcs, and bring their own laptops instead.
If only I had access to the internet when I was in school. :) |
Alright. I'm one of those nasty admins that is responsible for the filters. I put them in because my boss requires me to, it's as simple as that.
However, if employees/students start using methods to get around this, we can't actually be held responsible and some of are too 'lazy' to get this fixed. Here's some ways that employees get around the filter(We use websense) that they think we don't know about. I don't personally do anything about it unless they absolutely abuse these circumvention methods to the point where I can get in trouble for not noticing and doing something about it. They work, and you can use them if you want. 1) Do a google search for the website. Look at the google cache instead of the actual website. 2) Babelfish and other website translators from altavista and other websites are a very good way. A lot of people overlook these. 3) There are tons of circumvention programs out there that you can set a website up to connect to your home computer or use your home computers connection to browse. It's a little slower, but it works great. A lot of people use RealVNC 4) Proxies are the absolute best way to get around these filters, but they are the easiest to stop as well. Hundreds get blocked every single day. If you get one working, don't share it. Keep it to yourself, or you'll soon find that one no longer works either. 5) the secure http trick. For some websites, you can view them by typing "https://" instead of "http://" at the beginning. This works about half the time. 6)If you absolutely must use an interactive website that requires logging in and such, use this trick; Type in your website in full, be sure to include the http:// part. Then at the end of your website address add on exactly what is in quotations: ".nyud.net:8090" and then go. This method is extremely slow and often doesn't show pictures, but if you absolutely must use interactive script, that's a good way. A big drawback to this is that you can't click on the links inside the html, you must copy them and paste them in the address bar and then add ".nyud.net:8090" every single time. For anexample, try looking at this website through the filter: http://www.ksufans.com If you have websense, you'll notice you can't. Now try http://www.ksufans.com.nyud.net:8090 Oh, look at that. You can look at it all of a sudden. It takes a while, but when you gotta have it, you gotta have it. (This site is also a good example about how this method can keep certain graphics from showing up.) I personally recommend that you do use the method that allows you to browse the internet through your home computer. For an article on how to do that, view here(Thanks to the use of another filter skipping method you can view this site as well without the worries of websense or bessy) http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache...s&ct=clnk&cd=1 Those are the best ways that I know of. At this point in time, at least one will work ANYWHERE that I've ever tried, if not multiple or all of them. Good luck, and happy circumventing. |
im going to make this simple
Listen..if one of us gets the password to bess...then we can just shut it off ...or uninstall it...or mabey even erase it off of existance
|
I thought this forum was full of brilliant computer enthusiasts, and all I see are posts with links to proxies.
For those wishing to bypass the filter, is visual basic, or WordPerfect with Visual Basic Plugins, or Word with Visual Basic Plugins installed on your school's network? |
http://www.prospector.cz/Free-Intern...ces/Web-proxy/
thats a good one 2 have a look at and as of current is not blocked by BESS some of the sites it contains are though so try out confused yeti ;) |
websense
i know how to get around websense but to keep everyone from knowing i'm only going to tell some people this is a sure fire way to get around it forever and it is not a proxy so if you would like to know email me or im me at bassxzero@yahoo.com and i'll get back to u or talk to u as soon as possible.
|
why don't y'all just download torpark from home, put it on a usb flashdrive and plug it into a school pc. it works off the usb drive so it covers everything up. ive used it at school. and i got through bess and a couple other blocks at libraries.
the program is called torpark. its a hackers version of firefox |
omg omg omg omg omg omg omg tytytytytytytyty whoever put that burf.com thing works like a charm, ;) "well it was on DeathBySexy
s thing under one of the first three |
Hey if you guys wants to get around all that stuff go here, www.nickoli.net scroll over search and click puppies then click continue to search engine, and theres a html cgi proxy. Just type google.com and click and then you can go any where through google. For example type gamefaqs.com in google and then click search and then click or wherever you want to go and it shouldnt block you, only thing is sometimes the blocking program will prevent you from downloading things to a computer but you can still play games, movies, etc.
