HL2 Release Date
 

Following the Post below, it seems Best Buy also thinks it has a release date for HL2. Ambitious or true. . . you decide.

Release date or not, here.

I'm actually stickin with them this time.. They've promised this date before.. and I'm guessing they know the consequence if they change their minds :)

there are NO consequences.. everyone will still buy it (that was going to buy it before anyway) irreguardless of when it comes out.. they're just keeping the hype alive.

Unfortunately Jason425 is right, consumers will STILL buy the game even if its late. I think gamers were talking about this game as much as a year and a half ago being late.

I'm just saying.. I'll put up a bet if I have to... that HL2 WILL get shipped late august/early september. Not a doubt in my mind that it will not.

I am new here, but I really hope that it ships late august.. I DLed the new HL2 Trailer off of FilePlanet, and I am hyped!

I think someone from iD said this in regards to DOOM3 "A game can only be pushed back for so long, but a game can be bad forever"

And on that BestBuy site, I see that it says there is no Internet Play. And I am hoping that is incorrect, because I think what made HL so popular was the online, and the mods..

ALSO, I clicked "Estimated Arrival Date" and it said 11/5-11/10/2004

So.. Who knows!

they're probably right.. if it makes it before september i'll be VERY suprised..
