Gigabyte FX5900 PCI Express video card at Rbmods
 

We had a look at a Albatron PCI express card a few weeks ago and tonight we
have a even better PCI-E card from Gigabyte. They sent us their FX5900 PCI-E card
for testing. We will compare this to a Fx5900XT card and the Albatron PCX5750 card.
We will benchmark it with the latest games and test some overclocking to finally see
how good this card can perform.

is it just me or does pci express suck so far? I don't know why they don't get the good cards out so that more people adobt pci-x...

Nvidia Pwns. Linux is uhhh :( no games...

pretty much.. it's got a long ways to go before i'll use any linux other than knoppix (which I only tried out for a few min because it was boot from cd, and therefore didn't have to ruin anything..) but of course it didn't recognize my nic or sound card, so that was the end of that..

Nah, Nvidia is bordered with ATI, nobody pwns right now, but ATI has the most pros...

That's why you get the Radeon X800 XT PE, it's $500.

I'm not talking now, I'm talking 8 months from now when 600 will be the cap because it keeps going up steadily. And I'm also making reference to the fact that the 6800 line is designed for upcoming technologies while the X800 line was really made before for today's technologies.

I just bought an allinwonder 9600XT. it pwns. because it has a remote. and it runs far cry and doom well enough for me to say ....Damn! im an ATI guy now. you win some you lose some. should amke gnogtr happy eh?

i bring this up cuz.. i imagine itll run games in the next 8 months... and id rather be 8 months behind with cash in my pocket, than always be 1 month behind and flat broke :)

Not a surprise coming from a linux noob using a bootable disc as an os :P

And as for napster talking about no games.. I can and am playing windows games on Vector and getting high fps... Basiacally I can play any game cept andything on steam in linux with no problem using Cedega.
