More runescape.. ya i already read ALL the other topics.

Ok, proxies don't work, i can't do remote desktop, I don't have a laptop. I know a bess override, however when I try and play runescape, it gets to "Requesting Animations" and then stops loading when its doing the low res version. I forget where it freezes in high res version but it freezes before that. Anyone have any ideas?

Again I repeat, I have tried the following methods:

Remote Desktop(Admins have it disabled here)
Proxies(heh i have better than a proxy :) )
Bess override

And nothin is workin. Prometheus, one of the gods of tech, doest thou havest any ideas in thy possesioneth? Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

I'm thinking it's time to find a new game then... I can't even get to runescape.com here @ work (blocked) so.. move on I guess...

Prometheus 09-22-2004 03:57 PM

Dont play games at school pay attention

Jason425 09-22-2004 04:25 PM

yea or that... but it seems like some people like to pay outrageous tuition so they can screw around...

Prometheus 09-22-2004 04:28 PM

hes prolly just a kid.... no older than 16

Jason425 09-22-2004 04:33 PM

yea.. sitting in back of his sophomore english class playen runescape....

MrIncoming 09-23-2004 11:33 AM

yea im 16. And Im a junior, and my english teacher is funny as hell so its a fun class. Anyway, I get stuck here fora few hours after school when I don't have a ride home, so it'd be kinda nice if I could get to runescape and have something to do(I do my homework during class).

Oh and I don't pay outrageous tuition just to screw around. My GPA is 3.8 and every year i've taken the hardest classes I can take. I skipped a math(I was already in the advanced math) and a science(I was in the advanced science already) and a year of foreign language, so I am by no means screwing around. And a bit over half of my "outrageous tuition" is paid by the school.

So... you two wanna try taking another crack at me? Or will you help me find some sort of solution.

Jason425 09-23-2004 11:41 AM

:whack: there.. I took another crack.. If you get caught going past their filter, you're going to be in trouble.. so it might be worth finding something else to do...

Prometheus 09-23-2004 12:25 PM

look for the Hackers Ethical Guide I wrote it myself...

copy mtscc.exe and the other mtsc file

(search for these on your computeR) put then on a cd and you get remote desktop !

MrIncoming 09-24-2004 11:38 AM

Lol trust me I wont get caught. In our computer lab, theres a comp u cant see when u first walk in, thats where I always sit, so i never get caught.

OK, so once I get the remote desktop files, how to i remote desktop to my house? I can do it between the 2 comps at my house, but that's cuz my bro set them up. Thanks!

Oh and I like the final crack at me :)

OMG... I just realized that it isn't an admin block, they just made the shortcut invalid. Where is the remote desktop stuff by default on a comp?

VPN might be a good solution for you, also. A free solution is available at RealVNC. If you have a Linux box, you might want to set up a VPN server using PPTP.

EDIT: I almost forgot about OpenVPN completely!

MrIncoming 09-29-2004 09:08 AM

when I try and connect to my comp at home, from school, I get a 10061 error, my comp at home is apparently refusing the connect, it says
"unable to connect to host: Connection refused (10061)"
At home I have a password on it, but I know the pass and figured it would prompt for it when I try and connect. Also, I have it on accept thru port 5900, and when I put my VNC adress:5900, it still doesn't work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Would anyone have any ideas how to get some of my schools network ports opened? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*ahem* if anyone would wish to "help," my school's IP(at least the comp im at) is 66.144.41.233

Thanks!

Try using a port scanner. Nmap(google it or 'port scanner' i'm to lazy to post urls) does fine for me. If you skiddish about downloading things on school computers get one of them handy little thumb drives. Works like a dream...usually. You might want to try and learn more about ports-in-general just google that info too.

idk about you but most filters like bess block websites with anonymizers...

jsut to let ya know

and to help the problem i havnt figured out how to stop being traced...but i usually use the www.peacefire.com and then use the first link

Athlon1600 03-03-2008 08:56 PM

you have to change proxy in your internet settings... using web-proxy won't work because those proxies remove all the scripting from the site including Java, so that's why runescape can't load.

http://www.runescape-proxy.com

^ I use that at school
