The best and sure way to get around bess

The best and sure way to get around bess is: have Mozilla FireFox on your flash drive and a list of alternate proxy addresses on it. If you need the list that I'm talkin about send me a message and then I'll get back to you on that. If you guys need any other questions answered, lemme know.

Can you please expand on this? I set up a CGI proxy on my host and it works at my school. It works for almost everything except a few sites (myspace) in which they block by wording, not URL. How can I get around the BESS filter when it filters words?

k, you know how to change your proxy address to use the internet? You change that to wat ever ur school uses. My school uses, as their default filtered proxy, 156.63.162.7:7033. The proxy that I use to get around that useing FireFox is 156.56.103.62:3127 or 156.56.103.61:3128. So, say the proxy that ur school uses is (keep in mind for this, im making up random numbers) 198.45.59.2:8055. the one you wanna use to get around that should be (and again, im makin up random numbers) 198.23.95.56:3596. If you need the digital papers of the addresses that i ahve lemme know.

Ok, so the proxy that my school uses, is it the one that I get when it says "blocked" or is it the actual IP that you can get from sites like ipchicken.com? Meaning do I need the actual IP? And once I get that, you're saying that I just make some random numbers other than the first set? Oh, and how do I get the port you're showing? Thanks.

KingSix 02-23-2006 07:49 PM

no, the way that you find out what the proxy address that ur school uses, is you go to, in internet explorer, Tools then to Internet Options, Connections, and then click on the button that says LAN settings. Find out what ur schools proxy is from that. Then depending on what the first three numbers of that IP is then thats one of the possible sets that you can use when or if you get the document that I can provide that has a list of proxy server IP's.

Ok, it would be great if you can get me the document. And sadly, when you click on "tools>internet options", it says "administrator has blocked this function." And also anything you try and install is blocked. So I wouldnt be able to remove that by another program or even install firefox. Even "Start>Run" is blocked so I can't access registry. Any ideas?

Oh and P.S., Since I can't install, would I still be able to run the Firefox through flash drive without installing?

KingSix 02-23-2006 08:01 PM

Yeah, all you have to do, is install fox on ur flashdrive at home, and then u can run it off of that at school. The way you can find out what the proxy address it at your school, is by simply asking a technology teacher or the technology director for your school, or even calling your district and ask for the district tech person and get it from them. As for that document. I can get it to you tomm. or i can attempt to try and find it now. But when you get it, all the ones HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW are U.S. PROXY addresses. So, im gonna try and find it now, and ill repost and let you know if i found it.

Why would they give me it? Wouldn't they be suspicious? And that gives me an idea, if I can install things on my flashdrive, I might be able to install that program which removes the security settings also on there and run it from there. And once you get me the document, please email it to:
kutibah1@pacbell.net
Thanks.

kutibah 02-23-2006 08:12 PM

Now that I think of it, the school blocks any USB Drives or CD's. Only floppies work. I'm not 100% positive, but USB Drives MAY work. Let's just hope they do.

KingSix 02-23-2006 08:17 PM

They might give it to you, try asking that one really smart pc nerd that everyone asks questions, (no, not me. ur already askin me questions. lol :D) Ummm, using a program to disable security, on school pcs, from whatyou've said, not a good idea my friend. btw, wat school do you go to. the State Pen. ???? lol

LOL. it won't be worse then bypassing proxies. lol. anyways, i go to a highschool in riverside, ca lol. and yeah, theyve outsmarted the kids since last year a kid hacked the school and changed his grade (and the idiot didnt mask his IP and was caught lol.)

KingSix 02-23-2006 08:40 PM

that kid was samrt to be able to hack into his school , but not masking his IP wat a newb.... lol. if you can think of a way other than asking wat the proxy address is, do that, but make sure it says something to the effect of it letting you know what the proxy address is. dont worry bout that list, ill send it to you sometime tomm.

kutibah 02-24-2006 10:20 AM

Ok, I'm at school now. Unfortunately I didn't bring my USB drive today for other reasons. Anyways, I found out that my school filter is NOT BESS. It is 8e6 from http://www.8e6.com. Using firefox to go around the proxy would still work, correct?

Also, when I try to go to myspace, in the URL bar I see this:

http://1.2.3.4:81/cgi/block.cgi?URL=...T&USER=DEFAULT

So is the 1.2.3.4:81 the proxy?

KingSix 02-24-2006 11:16 AM

I dont think at all that the 1.2.3.4 numbers are the proxy b/c fopr a schol to use that is unlikely and too easy for a program to corrupt. From what i can tellis that its blocking that IP that ur trying to use. firefox and that list of proxy use should. the set of ips that my school uses is 10.#.#.# so you could try using one of the 156.#.#.# combos or try something random. Heres the file.
REMEBER USE ONLY THE ONES HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW B/C THOSE ARE U.S. PROXY ADDRESSES.
Good luck man.
but still listen around for anything that you could try and use to get the first three of the proxy b/c then thats ur way out of school internet and your way into the normal internet that ur used to.

KingSix 02-24-2006 11:25 AM

I found another site that you might be able to use to get around it. its called www.stupidcensorship.com
try that, Im at school right now too. Bess blocked that b/c of the fact that it was a lop hole, so more than likely 8e6 might block it too. but like i said firefox and that list, should work. but mainly try and find out what the first three numbers of the proxy are. O snap, im taking this class at a community college and im gettin this bootdisk that u can use to get past anything. ill try and make an image of it using alchohol and then u need to install that on ur jumpdrive (keep in mind i have a 4gig flash drive and i run programs off of it) and then mount that image on it or you can use a linux boot disk and get into it that way to see what you want. Lemme know if you need more help man.

Lol. It's the same as the proxy site I've created. It's blocked here, but I was able to use my proxy site to access it, only to find out it's a web proxy. LOL. Well anyways, my teachers computer has firefox installed and I'm on it right now (she let's us use it at lunch.) And on it, I am able to change the proxy. Unfortunately, something weird is happening. She is blocked throught 8e6 filter, but when I go to IE and view the proxy settings, there isn't one available (direct connection). So I just tried putting in a bunch of the 156 proxies from that list you gave me. It didn't work. What do you suggest? This computer is "restriction" free but it has a web filter. So what should I do? I should be able to figure out the proxy somehow considering it's not admin disabled.

KingSix 02-25-2006 10:01 PM

there are two things that i can advise you to do. 1. Try putting in all (yes, i know i said all. lol) of the proxy addresses that are highlighted or 2. Get sattelite internet and use it at school. Those are the only two things that i can think of. Worst case scenario, ur school has actually gotten smart about how to stop kids from gettin past their filter, which leads me to the conclusion that ur school sux. lol. good luck, lemme know what happens.

yeah (hi, i'm new) it'd be great if i could do that, but my school has disabled students from even getting into internet options. someone figured out how to get a portable firefox onto one of the computers, but its impossible (or so it seems) to get into internet options

KingSix 02-28-2006 07:19 PM

rickoshay, its easy man. all you have to do is put firefox (Mozilla FireFox) onto a flash drive and then you can run it off of that, you and kutibah can both try this, try using the auto detect thingy on firefox and you can try and figure what the proxy address is that way. If you dont mind me askin, how old is you, and what is ur technical background?

kutibah 02-28-2006 07:28 PM

If you're asking me, I'm 15 (almost 16) and I know quite a lot of computer programming and some hacking. I know I sound like a n00b here and that's because I'm not that great with "physical" computers; I'm better on the "web".

By the way, I tested a USB drive on my school computer and amazingly it worked (and that was on the "SECURITY ENABLED" computer :)). Now all I have to do is find the proxy. But what I don't understand is what do you mean by the "auto-detect" setting? I see that under connection settings, but how do I find the proxy once I select that?

kutibah 03-01-2006 10:35 AM

Hey, I'm at my school right now. I downloaded KNOPPIX (Linux Live Boot CD(DVD)). Anyways, this shocked me. I was able to insert the DVD on the school computers here, and it BOOTED FROM THE DVD!! Wow, I thought the school was smarter than to allow direct booting. Anyways, I was able to launch firefox through Linux. But unfortunately the 8e6 filter is sitll blocking me? How is this possible? What now?

Also, I tried running firefox off of my USB Drive and selected the Auto-Detect proxy settings. But how do I use this to get the proxy? It's not showing me it? Thanks.

kutibah 03-01-2006 07:09 PM

Ok, I just installed a software on my USB Drive (1st Security Agent) which can disable/enable all security settings on a computer. I am going to run it tomorrow on one of the library computers and disable the security for IE. Are you positive that the proxy that the school uses will be visble in the Connection settings of IE?

Jason425 03-01-2006 10:21 PM

Something like that wouldn't work on surf control... something tells me it won't work on bess either... it's probably a server-side thing.

Svantetit 03-16-2006 03:18 PM

NEED SOMETHING PLEASE

I have Mozilla, and I found the school's IP by importing them from IE through File>Import. What i don't understand is that you said the first 3 numbers of the address. My school's address starts with 10.#.#.#.# so I don't understand how that would work. Also, can you send that list to Twiztedghudlum@msn.com please? Because I need something to get past Bess. Smartfilter is completly unreasonable and needs to be bypassed. It does not allow for any websites. 99.9% of all sites are blocked. Please help me if you can

Thanks,
Corey

god kutibah your school sucks

that sucks that your school blocks usb drives i use the same way to get past bess as the one listed at the begining of the thread. It works well but its only time before that gets blocked. You can also use Opera web browser both work well for the situation.

darkruler 03-29-2006 05:40 PM

fucking figure out how to bypass bess or fucking find out the admistrator fucking name and password damn u all to hell if you dont!

DsAdvocate 04-20-2006 06:24 PM

Not sure if it were mentioned or not but its almost, but not perfectly, impossible to get around 8e6 filters. It is now possible to have 8e6 filtering locally in a work place or school but its mainly done in a huge place somewhere far, far away from you. So, unless you can truly hack a server, a most likely very strong server, give up. I don't know about BESS but I do know it'd be extremely difficult to kill or bypass 8e6.

havocdemon 04-24-2006 08:22 AM

The most obvious and simple fix .. is for someone to aqurire a domain, then go to peacefire.org and install the circumventor available on there site.... then PM the url to those of us who need, Id be more than happy to set it up, however all I can get as far as internet goes is sial up ... so if anyone is up to it .. pls feel free to set up the bypass, and share the url with caution.
