games?
Anyone here got any suggestions for decent not-too-violent games PS2? Recently got one and need some good suggestions.
what kind of genres are you into?
What's wrong with "too-violent" games?
Wow, this is a very broad question; you should at least narrow your field to the type of games that you'd like to play....
Like... solitaire, or lemonade tycoon?
haha, not THAT non-violent. I just don't really enjoy games where your MAIN goal is to run around a shoot people. I prefer something with a little more...puzzling to it. a good mix of the 2 would be nice...
- Siberia 1 and 2
- Psychonauts - Grim Fandango these come to mind right now, I'll probably think of many more soon |
I actually like lemonade tycoon... ;)
Yeah point and click game (or the likes) may interest you. Syberia is very beautiful.
My personal favorite on that genre has to be Monkey Island (4.) The quirky humor and great voice acting (for the 4th one, not much the 3rd) makes for an hilarious game. |
if you are into solving puzzles then the da vinci code is good or the splinter cell ones
Thanks so much for the info. I love the monkey island games and I'm planning to check out syberia too. I didn't even know there was a game of the Da Vinci code - hah!

Hate to double post but someone reccomended to bme today a game called Ico. Has anyone heard of it/played it?
Ico is a very interesting and unique kind of game. The basic plot is simple, rescue your mother. You have to guide her, bring her to places, and defeating shadows with your almighty stick. I have not finished it, but it is a very interesting adventure; the other game made by the same people "Shadows of the Colossus" is very interesting and beautiful as well.
ok, thanks, slashmire. That sounds like the sort of thing I might enjoy.
Although I don't really think many people would hate the game, I'd say to look at videos of Shadows of the Colossus...as it might not fit your genre. There's no "exploration" or "minions" just...amazingly detailed and gigantic colossi to kill.
aren't colossi a form of minion?
Well then the question would be "minions of what?"
A minion is essentially a non-boss creature who is under the power of a greater enemy. All these colossi are all "bosses" and do not have creature above them in their hierarchical structure So no, not minions :) |
Oh... misinterpreted the usage of colossi.
Although if a collossus ended up being a minion...I'm really not sure what would rule above it that you could physically beat down ;)
