The correct word is BONK. :P

Raven 10-10-2002 04:16 PM

Looks nice, how's your window fastened? Can't really see from the pics, don't really look like screws or bolts... but I'm probly way wrong.

Guess I'm next in line for a bonk...

eviltechie 10-10-2002 08:14 PM

bolts and screws looks way better...

who the hell use moulding anyways?
it makes the window looks small, cheap, and restricted...

with bolts and no moulding, it looks way better...

Gixxer420 10-10-2002 09:05 PM

pop rivits

CiKoTiC 10-10-2002 10:45 PM

Looks like a squid got loose in your case. :o

btw.. pop rivits look way better than bolts and/or screws.

eviltechie 10-10-2002 11:12 PM

The gloom in the loom, use electrical tape (color U prefer) to cover both ends of the loom to hide the wires. with a lighter, Heat the tape so that it would stick to the wires.

Oh god what electrical school did ya go to *LOL* Electrical tape is nasty and horrible and always leaves a mess. If you need to cove the ends of wires you use heat shrink!!!! Here in arizona if I ever cought one of my installers useing electrical tape on anything they would get fired *LOL* Guess it would be ok in a pc case but heating it to stick to wires just makes a god awfull mess if you ever wanna take it apart!!!

CiKoTiC 11-27-2002 08:10 PM

Blah!!! Just use Duct Tape. :P

 Who said u'r going to take it off if it's done nicely, besides it takes a lot of skills to handle electrical tapes, bet U don't have that skills, maybe u should enroll where i learn to do it  . I think i did a cool job in covering the ends.

 I bet U allready fired the guy who "mod" ur case Huh? Man...U must be a rude Guy Firing them for useing electrical tapes. I can't imagine...

Stay cool man :)

eviltechie 11-28-2002 08:28 PM

lol good going CB

take a hammer and whack AI on the head then say "Stay Cool"

lol
how smart of ya... :shake:

i would never use electrical tape
it gets kinda "greasy" and its glue side kinda leaks out to around the places it covers which the whole thing gets sticky even if it is nicely wrapped

CiKoTiC 11-28-2002 10:08 PM

Loom is without a doubt the best stuff to use for your cables. I stopped at AutoZone yesterday and picked up 10 feet of yellow loom and put in my case.

eviltechie 11-28-2002 10:54 PM

looms originated from Auto shops?

wow never knew that, always thought some geek make it for comps

CB-Byte 11-29-2002 04:50 AM

10 feet of loom!

I think 6 feet would suffice, And stay out of electrical tapes

I just learned that it's a big NO.

After I post this stuff, I am going to get rid of those nasty tapes... Heat shrink at last (very hard to find one..dis is the philippines U know). thanx to AI for pushing me to find heat shrinks.

Your Evilness (Eviltechie), your not forgotten...ThanX for the electrical tape realization.

*LOL* naw I already went to school and am a certified 12V install tech and have worked for the gov and also private owning two companies! Electrical tape sucks and sucks hard core if your an installer. If you tried to use electrical tape say at Boeing or say for car audio, or even general use you usually get looked at crosseyed, sorry for being harsh but the whole electrical tape thing usually makes me annoyed for it is reserved for people that do not wire very much, I hope you take the advice with an open mind and go to loom and heatshrink. Electrical tape is just a mess and over time causes more problems than it is worth.

eviltechie 11-30-2002 12:55 AM

yup nasty stuff it is

we have to steer the world away from the use of it by anymeans

sorry we were harsh but it had to be done
lol

ive never gone to any technical schools yet
nor does not have an A+

but if i want to, i could get it quite easily if i just have a bit more time in life...
things are pretty much common senses and daily experiences

CB-Byte 11-30-2002 11:44 AM

OK OK OK, I got u'r point fellas, I'm a person who's open to any suggestions that are beneficial (Such as Electrical tapes sucks hard core!).

No harm done, and I'm changing my point of view about that nasty stuff.

I did a post about affirming to u'r suggestions. I've finished replacing those nasty ETs on my PSU cables with Heat shrinks. U'r right it's easier to install and better looking too. Soon I'l post the pix of my gear.

Thank U AI & U'r Evilness for making me realize.

 Now, are there any problems?

BTW, AI, what is a 12V install tech?

Hehe.. yea, six feet is about all I used. The package I bought came with ten feet. :P

CB-Byte 12-01-2002 11:18 AM

Other stuff aside from loom?

I am supposed to say "Wrapping the cables with Electrical tape" but I don't do that anymore (C AI & U'r Evilness, I've changed) I'll kill anyone I C using those nasty stuff on thier PC.

Maybe I'll mod my PSU on my old Pentium 200. This time I'll use this "Coil like" thing i saw on a China Mart. It looks like a cord of a telephone.

Means I am a certified installer for any mobile devices from car audio, tracking gear, raido equipment, flight equipment ext... basically a low voltage certified tech.

CB-Byte 12-02-2002 10:51 AM

U mentioned low voltage tech, correct me, 12V means 12 volts?

and to become a 12V Cert. tech., Is there any board exams?

U'r a cool guy afterall.
