41.03 nvidia drivers available :)

Just found some VERY good drivers! Have a forced refresh rate built in for 2000 and XP, you just tell it the frequency vs. res!! Just like NV refresh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is sweet, i am tired of being stuck at 65 hertz.

I am going to go download them now. :)

Uranium-235 10-29-2002 01:40 PM

I'm not moving to NT cause of that refresh bug

I'll wait for linux to become mainstream (as in preferred over windows by the general public), then maybe I'll move to something other then 98 :)

eviltechie 10-29-2002 01:45 PM

for those who are concerning about the refresh rate bug but does not want to get the 41 detonator

try a google search on Riva Tuner

it is one of the best program i used to tweak NVIDIA cards
it has overclocking features
refresh rate fix
and a whole lot more tools :google:

Uranium-235 10-29-2002 01:55 PM

I would think they could hardcode a refresh fix into the drivers. Why can't they do this? I hate having to use seperate programs to fix this problem.

eviltechie 10-29-2002 02:01 PM

what exactly is the refresh bug anyways?

ive read about it but dont really understand because it has not happened to me yet

accurateimage 10-29-2002 02:24 PM

the 41.03 drivers have the refresh rate in the drivers so just download them and tell it what frequency you want and that's it! I personally used to use NV refresh for it was super fast and easy.

accurateimage 10-29-2002 02:26 PM

It has happened to you, you just do not know it *LOL* if your running windows 2k or XP the screen sure will do 75+hz or whatever you set it at, but if you go to play a game, even if you set the game to a higher frequency xo or 2k auto knocks it down to 60hz. Get the refresh fixer and or forces every application to run at whatever frequency you desire!

eviltechie 10-29-2002 02:37 PM

oh man that sux...

gotta fix it!
i agree with Uranium
why cant they just make the new driver with the fix included??

accurateimage 10-29-2002 02:40 PM

dood the new drivers do fix it, no matter what in any wondows you have to set your refresh rate, in this case you just have to do it once in the "monitor" menu, then once more in the drivers display and your all set :)

Uranium-235 10-29-2002 03:02 PM

yeah yeah. But in 98 thiers a "optimal" Refresh rate. That will set it to the maximum possible depending on the resolution. I would like to see THAT for NV + 2k

accurateimage 10-29-2002 03:44 PM

gotcha, that's cool, they did the stupid auto 60hz to help insure compatability with all games and crap..

eviltechie 10-29-2002 09:31 PM

its weird

they have detonator 40 as beta
yet releasing 41 as beta also

oh well

i just wish they can hurry up on NV30...

accurateimage 10-29-2002 11:16 PM

anyone noticed coolbits overclockig sucks besides me..?? Powerstrip seems to be allot more accurate and also nets higher #'s in benchmarks.... anyone notice any anomolies with the 41.03's..??

Uranium-235 10-30-2002 12:53 AM

well how ironic. Something screwed up. Now i'm stick @ 60hz at all resolutions. Somehow my monitor unloaded and it installed 'Default Monitor'. Now I'm stuck @ 60hz. I even tried loading the inf for my monitor. When I select 'Optimal', it stays @ 60hz. I can select 85hz, and it will stay at that. Unless I go into a game and then it defaults to 60. God hates me

Uranium-235 10-30-2002 01:31 AM

nevermind it fixed itself. Damn gremlins

eviltechie 10-30-2002 01:37 AM

eh?
what happened???
what screwed it up???

AI, yup coolbits sux and it is hard to access, ud have to go here and there
too annoying
and yeah, not very accurate

Riva Tuner is a nice one
has almost everything packed in

and id use it with Artifact Finder
it has a monitor that monitors for artifacts

Uranium-235 10-30-2002 01:42 AM

here's my post in tsf

TheRogue 10-31-2002 05:35 PM

err, i was just on the nvidia site and the latest version is 30.82?

are these nvidia GeForce drivers or what?

accurateimage 10-31-2002 05:57 PM

Beta dude, heck the 40 series has been out for months! they work great, now the 41.03's are out or the start of the 41 series.. the 30.82 are the only current certified drivers.

eviltechie 10-31-2002 07:13 PM

yet... 40 works better than 30
as 30 has too many bugs...

TheRogue 11-02-2002 04:57 AM

i just downloading 40.72 and already found a bug :p

look at my new topic..

accurateimage 11-02-2002 01:20 PM

yeah duh they are beta dude *LOL* But still I like them much better than the 30 series...

Anyone Tell Me What Bugs Were Found?

>:)

accurateimage 11-15-2002 01:15 PM

Been useing them for about 1 month or longer with no bugs as of yet!

eviltechie 11-15-2002 01:43 PM

just for the noobs to know

these "bugs" occur sometimes on specific cards
if it does not occur on one card, it does not mean it wont occur on your card

even the certified drivers have bugs when there is conflict with hardware and stuff

accurateimage 11-15-2002 01:44 PM

very true, I am also useing them on an old 32 mb card, not even sure what it is but it was made by them and the drivers work great :)

CiKoTiC 11-15-2002 03:29 PM

Anyone notice anything strange about this?

accurateimage 11-15-2002 03:36 PM

yeah 64 mb......???what is the apature size..?

accurateimage 11-15-2002 03:37 PM

Oh yeah that and your running xp :P

CiKoTiC 11-15-2002 06:08 PM

apt set to 128

Cyber Chris 87 11-15-2002 06:29 PM

???

That's weird , I didn't think you could get a 64mb GF4Ti card

Whuzupwidat :P

>:)

accurateimage 11-15-2002 08:03 PM

Well looks like you found a glitch!

CiKoTiC 11-15-2002 08:31 PM

I hope it's just a Glitch. What is really starting to worry me is that Sandra give this report under Video System Information.

Total Memory: 63MB (63MB Video) (128MB AGP)

eviltechie 11-16-2002 12:45 AM

check bios for video aperture size
