My site is finally up!!! WOOHOO!!! Take a look :)

Hello! Finally launched my website! There is in the photo section a PC Gallery in case you wanna post up your pc! Parts are still under construction but getting updated daily! Not to bad for my first site :)

http://www.performancesparkplugs.com/

eviltechie 12-03-2002 10:31 PM

thats a long URL

the only part i like about the site is
http://www.performancesparkplugs.com...s_site_032.htm

lol just kidding

i think the first logo loads too slow...
little hard to see too

u should sell some looms
;)

accurateimage 12-03-2002 10:33 PM

which one the opening..?? yeah it loads slow, that is why we have the clock here to bypass it :) On my cable it loads on my and my other pc's instantly... Let me know suggestions!!!

eviltechie 12-03-2002 10:39 PM

instantly because it is cached i think

basicaly the whole logo lags
and i dont just mean the loading
the animation is slow too...
make it lightning white or something that is easier to see instead of clunks of stuff

u should try out flash...

btw, you should really sell looms
both auto and comp ppl will buy it

accurateimage 12-03-2002 10:54 PM

mabey, but no it is not cached on other pc's we just have 3.2 download :)

TheRogue 12-04-2002 03:06 AM

couldn't get in, couldn't be bothered to download the plugins for mozilla and when i went to cancel it stopped the site loading

also, i think almost everyone on the web will agree music/sounds on sites are blumming annoying!

accurateimage 12-04-2002 03:44 AM

Sweet :) Only sounds as of tommorow will be the intro page which can be skiped with a slick of a button... also what plug ins..?? should work flawless with any IE or Netscape Browser... Nothing but gif and jpeg files... and lots of good old html :)

CB-Byte 12-04-2002 09:15 AM

It's a good thing U placed the "Skip Intro" on top. very useful

CiKoTiC 12-04-2002 08:07 PM

wow those are great sites!!

i remember the old days when i was doing VB 6
ok not so old
but...

there are so many sites that offers help and templates and stuff
and i made this game called Battle Submarines

two player VB game
hard to do in vb because of some conflicts in the keyboard commands so i had to use some special methods

i never bothered with sprites though... that is the weakness of my game i guess

Aemon_ 12-05-2002 12:03 AM

i do more web development/design than software. i know html, css, coldfusion (not a master yet), and i am currently learning php. and i do all the graphics for the sites that i design. and somtimes i design logos for our clients. anyway, enough about me. i did take vb in high school, but i dont remember much of it.

eviltechie 12-05-2002 12:10 AM

how is ColdFusion MX?
im still not familiar with the concept of it and its specialties

is it hard to learn?

accurateimage 12-05-2002 01:20 AM

Mega Bucks...

Aemon_ 12-05-2002 11:05 AM

i havent used mx yet. still on v4. its hard to explain what it does cause it does so much. basically its php, with a big price tag. you can do anything with php and mysql, that you can do with cf. i believe. which is why i'm learning php.

but no, its very very easy to learn the basics. cf is tag based, so it looks a tad like html (only a tad mind you). but you can script it too. where php is only script, and i havent done any scripting, so its taking me a bit to learn it. i did take vb in high school like i said, which i guess is the same kinda function (expr) kinda programming. which i have to relearn.

Uranium-235 12-05-2002 01:57 PM

please don't think PHP and VB are too similar. PHP is alot easier IMO, but then again I've never really done much VB.

Aemon_ 12-05-2002 02:56 PM

oh i know thyre not THAT similar, just that i'm used to tags with CF, now i'm learning php. its in script, not tag, just sayin that the only other language i've ever used is vb. php is more like c than anything correct?

later

eviltechie 12-05-2002 03:49 PM

many ppl say that VB is the foundation of software programming
some say that it works a programmer's logic into how a computer thinks

it sure trains ppl well...
