too bad you have to have *that* videocard in such a cool rig
lol the NVDIA taunt
 how much was that case? |
*LOL* Like I said honestly the thing has been working awsome with dx9 and the new 3.0 drivers! Not one issue yet and the control panel is just as good as nvidia's :) Very happy with the setup! But tonight I am getting an asus nforce delux board and 2 sticks of pc3500 cosair 256mb. My kt400 dragon board and 512 of pc3500 platinum and a few powersupplies ect... will be put up for sale.
Got the case with supply for $129.99, also came with 4 led tricolor fans *LOL*!!!
why are you selling ur 512 of PC3500 and moving to 256mb???
different brands? my friend wants to buy some new high speed ram so he will be interested and how much juice does the PSU that comes with it give? |
So I can run the new nforce board in dual channel mode, 2 sticks of 256 pc3500. I am actually out the door here in a few to go get the stuff :) if I had the cash I would get another 512 stick but just cannot afford such an expensive item *L*
AI is down with the sickness. 8)
AI, how much u selling the 512mb PC3500 for?
want $200 + shipping for the 512mb stick, it is xms pc3500 and looks brushed aluminum, what they call platinum. The stick is 1.5 weeks old for I sold the black I bought for the better color *L* Let me know.
AI...that case is definately sick...good god. You got a talent man. And some mulah, might I add! haha. Crazy stuff man. So now that your finished with that friggin beast, what are you gonna move on to now?!
It is never finished *LOL*
Woohoo!
OH MY FUBAR!!!
is the 9700 pro OC'ed? |
yeah baby, the 9700 pro and the 2600 on air, 2600 is running stable at 2425mhz and a fsb of 194x2 and agp overclocked to 70mhz / the 9700 pro overclocked to 385 / 344mhz. I am trying to figure out how to get a higher fsb and some posts in one forum is telling me bios revision for mine does not want to go past 194... by the way my latest score after tuning is 16776.... 17,000 is sooo dang close I can taste it!!!
SWEET
Hail to the King baby!!! :woot:
well all is done for now *L* I think I am gonna rest for a bit :) Damn thing about killed me, I have not even turned on my speakers so I have no idea how the sound works *L* the nforce board was a complete pain to setup and it is ugly just like my 9700 but it does look almost black under the blue led lights so I am set :)
heh
who cares about how the board looks i would only care about how the graphics in games look hehehe AI, are those new rams you got? |
You mean the 256 sticks..?? if so yes hehehe and I just bought a 3rd! So I am running 768mb of corsair pc3500 XMS hehehe Have not installed the 3rd yet but will later tonight or tommorow, I have to rebuild my girls pc and put her current board ect... in my old heavy antec style case!
Hey soccer when we gonna get a lan party going..?? *LOL* I never had one or been to one but sounds interesting :) I know at least 4 people with hot setups that will come, I built them all *LOL* Oh yeah and I installed the 3rd stick of XMS... made my system unstable at 194, so I had to back it down to 190 to be safe but still score 17,000+ *LOL* dang this thing is sick fast... interesting to see 200+ on nature, 330+ on the first car scene and 380 or so on dragothic low res *LOL* Thos are the peak #'s I saw >:) Make me wonder what the heck the nv30 will do hehehe
are you using onboard sound, AI?
btw how many fans do you have on that coolermaster heatpipe? |
I am useing the onboard soundstorm "ac97" and so far I have not much good to say about it, people raving over it do not know audio *LOL* the controls are annoying and I cannot get the spdif input to work for the dvd. I hands down prefere the onboard cmi audio in my kt400.... makes me miss it a bit. Oh yeah I have 1 80mm on the main sink on the 9700 and then the led window fan blows right on the card sideways as well for cooling, I can honestly say all the sinks are now cool to the touch! did not do to much for overclocking but makes me feel better that the card is not a firehazard.
yeah CMI has less issues
there was this guy on the board had an issue with ACS97 which is a bit different than AC97 we both couldnt find the drivers for winxp for it... so whats the answer to the second question? |
re read my last post :)
how about the coolermaster HCC-001 R.2 though?
i thought u had 2 fans ontop on another im thinking something right now... i have some decisions to be made |
I took the one off for some reason a bit ago, cannot remeber why.. Think I used it on a case that only took a 60mm in the rear.. I went with an 8,000rpm 60mm ys tech fan for it and my chip overclocked runs at around 92-100F
isnt that loud though?
could you help me in deciding please read this post http://www.techwarelabs.com/communit...?p=24333#24333 |
I would use the tmd fan, just figure out a way to keep it in the heatsink... Mabey try servo tape..?? that way you can still pull it apart for cleaning and then use more to stick it back... just a thought....
my friend told me to use wires
he said to drill 4 holes on the heatsink and loop wires through and tie down the fan there would be a gap is using tape and i dont like tape as most of them gets sticky and gooey |
Man I tell ya, the soundstorm onboard sound in the nforce boards has to be the crappiest setup made so far, I have been nothing but dissapointed by it and annoyed...By far the worst feature of the nforce boards...
Well people I am here to tell ya about a little cheap secret card out there that is worth it's weight in gold! It is the Chaintech 6 Channel Sound Card Model AV515M. The reason I know this sound card rocks the house, sounds great and has drivers that are a pleasure to use is that the same exact setup came in my kt333 and kt400 soyo dragon boards! That is the one feature I miss the most about useing the soyo board is that the sound really was great for pc sound and I have heard most all the available pc soundsetups and found the cheapy little cmi 8738 chip to be equal to the $100+ cards with ease! One thing I did not know is that they made my exact setup I had on my soyo boards in a single card pci version by chaintech!!! and I still have my fiberoptic / coax pci slot bridge that came with my soyo boards so guess what, it works on this card!!! I bought 2 of these babies for both systems "girls and mine" so I can be happy again :) People, I cannot reccomend this little baby anymore.. if your in need and do not wanna break the bank then BUY THIS CARD! I cannot understand how people were saying the onboard sound in the nforce boards was "great" I am here to tell ya it is CRAP and this card will solve your probs. It does not have a 6 out of 6 rating for nothing, with everyone praising it! Cost is only $16.00 + $4 shipping each!!! woohoo! http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage....120-101-02.JPG Update!! If you like blue, aopen makes this card also with the same fiberoptic / coax bridge as my soyo had... http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage....117-106-06.jpg |
man that is nice rig bro
u pretty much maxed the whole system out eh?
lol AI, u sure got lots of mulahs in ur pocket is Franklin or washington ur grandpas? how much does that whole system cost??? |
Ah greasshopper, the trick is when you wanna upgrade, sell what ya have and a little cash into it to get what you want :) Also I have no idea actually how much outta pocket this rig cost me, I have been bying, selling and trading non stop to get this far *L*
