Re: <{TheT3chfreak's Challenge #3}>

im just about to add you after this is posted...

its not exactly help i need as i know scratch about php or mysql let alone combing them so doing it myself would take learning both which would take ages (this is a last resort), i would be more favourable of this once i get apache runnin on my comp (win version, i cant get it config'ed rite to run perl and PHP!!!)

Re: <{TheT3chfreak's Challenge #3}>

actually it wouldent take much. Id think one of the hardest parts would be the user accounts, maybe. The answers would be mailed to you, that's pretty easy. I'm not sure this is just off the top of my head

Re: <{TheT3chfreak's Challenge #3}>

the mailing bit is done and sorted (thats how i get them now)

i just need a database which stores username, password, email addy and a basic yes no for each of the quizes

they login...as soon as they see a quiz they get a tick sayin they have done the quiz in the db

thats all i need!!!

Re: <{TheT3chfreak's Challenge #3}>

What do you mean yes and no?

what I'm thinking of doing is make a page to create the quizes. When you create a quiz, email everybody with an account of the url of the new quiz. The quizes should be free response. Incase you think of changing it.

Re: <{TheT3chfreak's Challenge #3}>

the yes or no in the database is sayin whether they have SEEN the quiz, yes i am keeping the open ended answers and them being mailed to me, to simplify what iwant (this is the 3rd revision lol)

the only thing i cant does is the database bit, i need a php page to
register, a page to login, when the user goes to a page it checks the
database to see if they have been there already, in the database a simple
on/off or yes/no is put on their record under that challenge, it is
generated using SSI to include up to the submit button (no ending </FORM>
yet), a hidden field with the userid is added <input type="hidden"
name="realname" value=(insert username here)>, then </FORM></BODY></HTML>,
the page is shown, the rest is done using perl/cgi to send the challenge
using formmail
