BMW Films

Pricey commercials BMW has decided to do.

www.bmwfilms.com
and only available for download and seen at autoshows
now also available on DVD

i watched the films since the first season almost a year ago.

now, with the big hit of Z4, 3 more films are made.

It is not just about stunts, the plot and theme are all very intellectual intriguing also.
Really makes you think.

Excellent films. Some of the season one's films are directed by Lee Ann

Excellent cars, stories, stunts.

Better than paying to see james bond! (IMO)

eviltechie 02-22-2003 02:06 AM

aha
finished watching the 3 films offered for the second season now

damn good stunts
and every story makes you think...

i think the best from season one are Star and Chosen

btw i spelt Ann Lee wrong

it should be Ang Lee
but u all know who im talking about
crouchy tiger, hippy draon
lol

man Z4 is such a nice car... too bad 007 went back to Aston Martin...
its got the same style though
the same type of front look

Omega 02-22-2003 02:31 PM

You guys should watch "The Transporter." It's a pretty good movie for driving, fighting, etc.

MIK3 02-23-2003 12:20 AM

Driven is an awesome movie for speed, adreneline and pursuit...

trooper 02-24-2003 03:13 PM

DRIVEN!?!?...

8) "Driven is an awesome movie for speed, adreneline and pursuit..."

..but it was the corniest plotline ever. If it was'nt for the driving I might've puked!

MIK3 02-24-2003 10:45 PM

Yeha, that is true. Oh, and I watched those BMW Movies...They needed a lil more 740i action tho...the lil Z4 get's kinda boring...

Mac_forever 02-24-2003 11:52 PM

MIK3, I disagree with the Z4 being boring. Those BMW Films are awsome. Better than shelling out $6-$8 to see the James Bond movie Die Another Day, even though it was the best of all the Bond movies.

eviltechie 02-25-2003 12:02 AM

haha
Z4 isnt boring at all
awesome car

there are some older 740s in season one of bmwfilms

btw, ive dl'ed Die another day screener svcd1
lol
watched it for the first time
pretty good but no cars in disc 1 except that old cadilac?
sigh...

cant wait to see Aston Martin

MIK3 02-25-2003 05:21 PM

K, I didnt say that the Z4 is boring, I said it gets borning after that much of watching it. I just thought it would be nice If they put a variety of the BMW Series in there...to spice it up a bit

Mac_forever 02-26-2003 12:54 AM

Well I bet that the next bmwfilms will use one of the new cars, maybe a 7 series. I liked the one with Madona. All of them were good.

eviltechie 02-26-2003 12:56 AM

madona

u mean "Star"?

thats one of the best ones they have and shown at autoshows mostly
cause its funny and awesome stunts

ss, u really need to see season 1, ull love it! :D

Omega 02-26-2003 02:51 AM

Yup, I had a big BMWFilms marathon after reading this post. I downloaded and watched all of Season 1 and Season 2 (even the one from season 1 that's no longer available for download). It's nifty. It was like, 750 MB of downloads...and then I just deleted it all :-/. I've truly become a bandwidth whore.

eviltechie 02-26-2003 02:54 AM

they still have those big formats?

i remember i had to use their viewer to download videos when it first came out

not sure if it was .mov format or whatever

so how do you like the stunts, omega?

Omega 02-27-2003 01:46 AM

The files were all .mov. The season two files added some weird interface to QuickTime Player, so I'm not exactly sure what the deal with that was, but anyway...

I love it all. Watching things like that just gets me so excited :-D.

eviltechie 02-27-2003 02:12 AM

hehe
same here

i luv it how the z4 side swiped and just stopped in time on the bridge

MIK3 03-01-2003 12:00 AM

Heh...oh yeah, the brige scene was awesome. A swift little "lemme check if I'm close enough to rise suspense" and he peals out and shifts it into 3rd...

Mac_forever 03-01-2003 01:00 AM

all the stunts were cool. I liked the car chase in the Las Vegas one with the train coming. The bridge one was awsome too.

MIK3 03-01-2003 02:09 PM

Heh. Yeah, the Vegas scene was awesome! Heh. James Brown made it even better! heh. Good stuff, the joke's were pretty good as well.

Mac_forever 03-02-2003 12:01 AM

The jokes on all of them were good. I saw all of the second series on TechTV. They had them on a few times. I think it was about 2 months ago.

eviltechie 03-02-2003 12:32 AM

really???

sigh i miss techtv
and especially TNN with TNG marathons...

my life is miserable now after i went back to basic cables
cant afford anything else right now...

bmwfilms.com is like cheap thrills for me

Mac_forever 03-03-2003 12:41 AM

Yeah. I don't know what I would do without my satellite dish and techtv.
eviltechie are you able to get one of the Satellite companies, Dish Net or Directtv? They are a whole lot better and cheaper than cable.

eviltechie 03-03-2003 12:55 AM

lol
50 bucks isnt cheap...

plus dish and box rentals and stuff...

Keefe 03-03-2003 11:02 PM

Aww, Dude these movies rock!!

It makes me wanna go out and buy a BMW.

My favorite movie is "the star" where he whips madona bitch ass around the back seat of the car :)

Does anyone have "the follow," it is not available on their site anymore?

cheers...

eviltechie 03-04-2003 12:28 AM

used to have it
it isnt that good

a bit boring in fact
the Z8 didnt have much actions

MIK3 03-04-2003 01:57 PM

Performance wise, the Z8 kill's the Z4 by far tho...

eviltechie 03-04-2003 03:50 PM

Z8 is a big car for a coupe

wide body...

price/performance wise, Z4 is the king!

Z8 is too overpriced

MIK3 03-04-2003 11:07 PM

I second that statment 128k for that car is waaay to much.

vee_ess 03-24-2003 03:25 AM

Bah!!! Z4? 740i? Z8?

You want all three -the performance, the luxury, and the propellor logo, go for the BMW 850's.
