it's cause you didn't download the flash plug in for that toolbar when you first came here.my computers at school do that too.but we can't download it cause of school policy.on the toolbar if you downloaded it, it would have the same thing as the toolbar on the side written but in flash.looks pretty cool when you get the plug in.

It's not a matter if have downloading the flash plugin, it's a matter of having downloaded an updated flash plugin. I got the same result on linux with flash 4(or was it 3?) installed.
