come to find out, the hotel has a high-speed connection (I hope ethernet). and it's only $10.00 a day. so I'll bring my laptop (I was going to anyways). Hopefully it'll work with thier internet connection

well,I'm here in kansas, with a dinky little P1-100 /w 40M & Passive matrix screen (not to mention 256 colors max)

the 8 hour drive was insane. we almost ran out of gas (there's a place after Witchata with 92 miles without any gas stations).

well here I am, back where I should be, infront of my system.

oh and the hotel didn't provide the internet service, wayport did. I thought the speed sucked, but it was my laptop's fault, it was so slow the nic drivers didn't get enough CPU time.

The connection was better then most cable on my dads laptop

I loaded Thunderbird (the mozilla mail client) on it. And it took 5 minutes to load. And after I typed a sentence, the sentence showed up a minute later, showing each letter per two seconds
