I try to help and this is what i get?
Okay I almost got suspended...but instead i cant use the ntwrk computers at my school UNLESS supervised until jan something....heres how it happened.
I finally figured out how to get past my schools filtering thanks to the proxy sites......well none of em worked until that cprox.netfirms.com which used a proxy to get to the proxy sites...anyway...i let the company know unfortunatly it was anonymus due to outlook not being able to send out....soooo i had to use comcast webmail which did not display my name...now heres the emails that followed.....(read in reverse order bottom up..) -------------- One condition I would like a default code of some kind so that I may still get past it. I am not going to give up something that took me so long to figure out so easily ( I will not give this away i am a very responsible computer oriented 14 year old) Sure, please send me the details. Thanks. Anyway...this was taken as a hacker threat (cmon....i hardly can write visual basic) Soon they found me.................... Anyway...today i was called into the principals office....wanted me to accept i was wrong blah blah think im special to ask for default code the usual....what really pissed me off is that they said i broke the internet code of conduct.......guess what...i am in network admin...getting past security is what i am supposed to troubleshoot....besides they kind think i was hacking So here i am..... Looks like i will just have to bring my laptop for a while now :P i know i am little sketchy on something just ask...i have to go to the gym now cya |
they let you plug your top in to the net?
|
You have to understand what they see as a threat to them. First of all you are 'breaking a rule' one of their rules for that matter. I'm sure the rule was made by a school district's network administrator or someone a bit lower then that. The teachers / principal just have to follow the disciplinary route because they don't understand what you are doing. When someone doesn't know what you are doing, they start getting uneasy with you. Even though you view yourself as a responsible computer kid thats definately not what most adults will view you as when you are doing something they do not recognize on a computer. I recognize the condescending feel that adults give you especially when they don't know what you do about computers.
I personally have encountered this, but I had connections with certain people in the [schools] administration that knew how positive my actions were. You may not have that luxury, and can get nailed if you don't. Luckily you got off with supervised use, I know a handful of people who thought they were hot shit always talking me down because of this or that. I chuckled while I sat back and they got busted. being in a network administration class doesn't mean you can compromise the school districts "Internet code of conduct" though. Not in the eyes of the ones who discipline you [ teachers and or principal, etc. ]. I have a question though: who were those emails to? the company that owns the filtering software? or the school districts admin? |
pro.. 90% of the time, school officials (and school computer people) are retards that are on too big of power trips to LET you help them. let them fall to the hands of some real hacker
|
or just hide your secret stuff on the memory that networked printers have for spooling ;) or even the solidstate memory that they have for firmware updates! have it upload through tftp automatically some date or time that you are not around to some other computer and you can cause some real havok :)
|
even better i hide my stuff on a flash drive
BTW what really ticks me off is another few things 1.Every kid in the F*cking network uses games (the most broadcasted rule) and chatting 2.I told the admin last week THE SCHOOL NETWORK ADMIN and he didnt seem to care much.... 3.I realize that the principal is kind of dumb in this and i am pissed that she disiplined me without all the info What really made them crack though is i said ive been trying to get through the filter for a while (last year once) i was doing my racism report and lo and behold...........ACCESS DENIED so i kind of wanted to get past it.....but man are they pissed I agree i should be punished but not that harshly |
btw merclod i didnt compromise the schools rules i got past a FEDERAL LAW :)
And also there was no rule ANYWHERE saying that i cant get around the filter.....tomorrow morning i will type up the usage conduct rules |
okay and um i just discovered this
My dad just talked with the principal....according to her i asked for money :D If you read the emails (which are convieniently backed up on my hd) youll notice i didnt wow anything to screw me in the A$$ |
Haha. Schools and security don't go well together. My highschool, the network admins are such dumbasses, it's not even funny. Alright, they are so ignorant, all they do is trace back to either your history or cookies...the two things that are the most easiest to rid of when you are in need of getting rid of them. If they "catch" you in the act, they'll find some other thing to charge you with, being as ignorant as they are. I hate it when the teachers think they know what they are doing because for once in their 40 years of teaching, they get to use computers. Screw em all is what I say.

I want to give an example to re-illustrate my point:

Oh yeah, how is holding it on a flash drive any better than stow away places that are directly connected to the network? how convenient is that? I sure as hell think its a lot more then putting it on some flash drive and then, in turn, putting it on a workstation or your laptop [which is much more identifyable/tracable then a conveniently displaced time-released tftp execution :P ] One more thing, which federal law did you 'get past'? MIK3: screw em all? i don't think i'll go there...eww |
It is a federal law for that filter to be in place
Anyway here is the Network usage rules 1.Ethical and Courteiouis (lol) 2.No modifying of others data 3.Respect Copyrights 4.Do not disrupt network usability 5.Do not develop viruses 6.Use the MISD network to access educational things only (why is this here? filter cheap?) 7.Non commercial purposes 8.Protect the security realize that these are summarized but the whole point of it is still there One could argue that i didnt do it for educational purposes.....but i could argue that network security is one thing im training for to be when i grow up...im educating myself so i did not break any rules Face it the system screwed me |
why is it a federal law for there to be a filter? I've never heard about this law.
|
hey im a network admin of a school we arent all that bad!! Well maybe just a little haha Gotta realize the IT guys at ur school dont give a stuff about you; we see students as just plebs, we dont associate, saves us from getting in trouble. I remember the IT guys in my school were the same; u get the occasional nice ones but yeah... . (sounds like you got really bastardized school there mate) nuf said...

stupid crying moms cried to politicians that made it federal law that all public school/library require censorship.. it sucks..
|
Americans are soft they need exposure......this is why i want to live in another country
|
come on then move to australia, on one condition, you must bring some cheerleaders with you, so i can start breading them so one day we will hopefully have as many as america... deal? haha
|
ask jason about the cheerleaders on this island they are all bimbos
|
haha i know they all bimbos used to live in Va for 3 yrs i met all teh redneck cheerleaders and then went to somewhere for summer holidays and met some georgian cheerleaders, (man are they thick); but i said i would breed them.. so cross breed them with some smart girls (but not 2 smart) and i might just have the perfect woman... (fat chance)... worth a try.. either that or i end up like that guy on southpark who makes animals with nine arses

Im in college in england and the security is to the extreme, thier is a group of teachers that are admins wich thier jobs is to get your ass in trouble just like a ticket worden they sit thier all day checking peoples accounts for any bad files or any downloads that are bad, we even have KEY LOGERS installed on the computers, right click is dissabled, and 8e6 is installed on the computer with its security settings set to high(they add websites in here). I 1nce got through one of the security settings by been able to net send using ms-dos i opened a folder and clicked new>shortcut.TYPE command in the box>clik next>click next and it will put an ms-dos item on, i found a list of commands and stuff for ms-dos and started playing around with net send and force net logoff, ive found out that i can FORMAT the pc which is probably the second worst that could be done on it(first been usesing a sledge hammer), but im not that kinda guy i just feel 2 ristricted i mean i cant even do homework becaouse 8e6 blocks everything does anyone know away to get round this note that all tabs at the top cant be used becaouse they are locked? :wavey:
Its not the getting cought that matters its the taking part. Quote by Sniper4u3 |
what are some of the commands you used? i know net send but i want some more :P
Use proxy sites www.cprox.netfirms.com can get you past 8e6 |
