StinkyMojo 12-18-2003 03:43 PM

That is why Mr. Norton is my best friend...:)

xMerCLorDx 12-18-2003 05:07 PM

if you had unix you wouldn't be having these trivial .exe virus problems now would you prometheus? *tisk tisk*

;)

Jason425 12-18-2003 07:49 PM

*fights virus's with modded cpu's to act as japanese shooting stars!*

xMerCLorDx 12-18-2003 08:03 PM

throwing stars? and usually the skilled japanese throw streight ones.. not stars.. stars are for n00bs..

8-)

Jason425 12-18-2003 08:43 PM

sorry, i'm new to this japanese ninja stuff :P

james 12-18-2003 08:51 PM

hmm, i've never managed to get a virus, and i've used windows for a long freaking time. i don' understand people. viri are usually so OBVIOUSLY a virus. sheesh

Jason425 12-18-2003 10:34 PM

I have a couple times, but they didn't cause any damage (well I can't remember for sure, but I don't think they did) Sometimes they just sneak in, like the blaster worm.

StinkyMojo 12-19-2003 10:03 AM

Grr... that blaster worm. I hate worms like that- hits you and you don't even know how... simply surfing around the net catches it(to me at least)

Jason425 12-19-2003 06:50 PM

I never got it. If you keep your windows updated and have a firewall and a virus scanner (don't even need the scanner) you'd be safe from the worm.

eviltechie 12-19-2003 11:25 PM

PC-Cillin has never let me down since ive been using it 5 years ago
always has been good and it is even better now

but yeah keep your windows xp updated all the time and make sure you have the newest virus definition file too

Jason425 12-19-2003 11:59 PM

dumb ms.. there is a known bug and they just "take december off" .. i tried pc-cillin when it came with my last mobo, but just kind of forgot about it so I use norton now
