Recomendations other than KaZaA
Does any one know of any problems or other media players that perform better than Kazaa, cuz i downloaded it about 2 weeks ago, and usually movies dont play so good on my crappy computer, but kazaa plays them crisp and clear.

Re: Recomendations other than KaZaA
Be carefull with Kazaa it just ain't spyware it's part of a distributed network computing. Tey've piggybacked software into there install for a long time and didn't tell anyone They just turned the network on for some computers and are now using those computers to serve up 3D web adds. Isn't it ironic that they use home users computers to serve up the one thing we get tired of. Any way http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ has the software to clean it out more than likely but it may leave it unusable. Currently I use freewire to download stuff and Divx Lunacy to play clips. No known spyware on either.

Re: Recomendations other than KaZaA
Man, you sure do have a point there. Those freakin' adds at the bottom of my screen sure do get annoying. There's no way of getting rid of them....Yet another flaw associated with KaZaA is that you must be online to use it, huh! I never thought about that. However, i am having second thoughts on it. I am also surpirsed with the brand new media play that just came out called Fusion Media Player. I gotta admit, it has beautiful sound control and a catchy look to it. Ive only used it for audio pieces though, so...

Re: Recomendations other than KaZaA
If you use adaware to remove cd_clint.dll, kazaa will not work.
http://www.cexx.org/cd_clint.zip put the .dll in %root%\%windir%\system make sure kazaa is already shut down then start it up, and you will notice no banner ad in the lower left corner. Although you will get pop-up's now and then |
Re: Recomendations other than KaZaA
cool thanks, yeah i got a program for those stupid pop-ups! thx again!

Re: Recomendations other than KaZaA
Morpheus Preview Edition is pretty nice. I connects to the gnutella networks, which gives you access to everyone using *nutella, morpheus, limewire, and bearshare. The only gripe I have is that it has a lot of pop-ups. If you leave it on over night you get a screen full of them :(
