func mouse pad rules

i bought the FUNC industry 1030 mousepad on friday
for about 25 CAD after tax (on sale)

the most expensive mousepad ive used
definately the best though
better than everglide

everyone says so too
all gaming mags that reviewed it says so

twl should review one

Jason425 03-07-2004 05:06 PM

review it against a ratpadz gs (what i use) ;)

eviltechie 03-07-2004 05:17 PM

from what ive read so far, func pad outrules rapadz/rapadz gs and everglide

Memphrica 03-07-2004 11:31 PM

I bought my func about a year ago...and I really don't see myself using anything else. It's perfect for gaming and especially the art programs I use.

Very good mouse pad.

Jason425 03-08-2004 12:07 AM

sure et.. but i am curious why it's better.. someone that's used both should state their (hopefully unbiased) opinion

eviltechie 03-08-2004 03:53 AM

yeah they should

well func pad is double sided
one side has the precision of 3M precision pads
its packaging is a killer
comes in a tin box with foam
its got a rubber base that is detacheable
also has a mouse cord clip you can attach to the rubber base pad

it is precise, smooth, durable, washable, very good with optical mouse....

Thresh, the owner of firingsquad, the master of LAN parties and king of PC gamers uses func pad and switched from everglide

sigh... I showed you PC Gamers review.. The editors are the kings of unbiased reviews.... as for the func... it also is a king ;)

Prometheus 03-08-2004 05:10 PM

i dont even use a mousepad lol :D

cherrypie 03-08-2004 05:21 PM

I currently use a 99 cent green bullseye IKEA mouse pad.....

eviltechie 03-08-2004 05:30 PM

my func pad

gnogtr 03-08-2004 05:57 PM

I use no mouse pad. It makes me happy!

jojasary 03-08-2004 08:14 PM

im a free spirit, no mouse pad for me

or maybe im jus dumb

Jason425 03-08-2004 09:11 PM

dumb.. at least for my suface (wood table) it's just alot smoother and faster on the pad.. and stinky.. pc gamer = toms hardware in my mind.. I am not affected on what one big name mag that has 600 sponsors says. TWL should do a review on pads

eviltechie 03-08-2004 11:07 PM

tom isnt a big gamer
firingsquad and its owner thresh are the big gamers

gnogtr 03-08-2004 11:44 PM

Jason425 03-08-2004 11:56 PM

well then i guess I don't have to worry about my table being ruined :/ The only problem is that the ratpadz is so wide.. so it kind of gets in the way.. but that's because I don't have that much room.. but more than gnogtr.. jeez...

gnogtr 03-09-2004 12:46 AM

Yeah, that's my desk I'm at right now at college. My one at home is much smaller. I don't know how the mouse did that, but it did the same thing to mine at home....

eviltechie 03-09-2004 02:50 AM

its not really the optical mice that ruins it
any mouse that doesnt have a smooth feet will kind of wear out the surface after a while

i think i need a better mouse after getting this func pad
lol yup, thats how good this mousepad is

im thinking MX700...
does it lag?

since when did you start recieving PC Gamer?

edit: multiple friends of mine have the mx700, and after playing ut2k4 with one, I have to say I was impressed. I have the corded version of it called the mx500.

eviltechie 03-09-2004 04:10 PM

so MX700 doesnt lag?
im thinking hard of getting one now

StinkyMojo 03-10-2004 10:24 AM

go for it... The only wireless mouse that I know of that recieved ownage reviews across the board.

gnogtr 03-10-2004 04:31 PM

If I were going that way, i would get the kit with the wireless keyboard, the Logitech MX duo.

gnogtr 03-10-2004 05:55 PM

I ordered a Logitech Wireless MX duo with the MX700 in it for $67. I found it on Pricewatch. I may be in the market for one of those mouse pads...

eviltechie 03-11-2004 12:10 AM

get it
trust me its good

im looking for a good MX duo deal around canada so pricematch staples...
hehe
