Dating roll-over?

Is there a setting where I can come in and only see posts since my last visit? I've looked but can't seem to locate the feature if there is one.

Would be great not to sift through things that have been here a couple of years!

Yup ...I tried that and it woks sometimes but not always.

That's weird, works all the time for me.

Do you use "Log me on automatically each visit"? Because the front main page news is also a part of the forum, so if you visit the main page before you visit the forums then it thinks you've already visited the forum. Thus, it won't show any new posts. That's why I log on manually everytime I'm here.

If all else fails, clear the cookies!

vicki2 04-29-2006 02:07 AM

Thanks, Tyler ...that was the trick.

And Jason, cookies are cleared out daily :)

actually, not having worked with the subsystem, i bet that the date of last visit is stored in the cookie, that the forum reads, and then presents posts made since then. I doubt the info is stored serverside. So, yea. that may be your problem

Jason425 04-30-2006 12:09 PM

OHHH Vicki so :) that!

Clearing cookies daily defeats the purpose of cookies. James is probably right - stop clearing them (so often anyway) and watch the problem be solved.
