Convert to vBulletin

You'll never go back. My sites bigger than this and i've been much more happier with it over phpbb2. Phpbb isn't search engine friendly. Vbulletin has a sitemap feature that will get your forum posts indexed by google and other search engines.

If not, then i highly suggest upgrading from 2.0.1 to 2.0.13
There are so many exploits running around the internet that 2.0.1 is an accident waiting to happen. Notice how phpbb has jumped from 2.0.10 to 2.0.13 in in about month?
Or you could be up to date and just haven't updated the footer. IDK

Techware has great reviews, but the forums aren't as impressive as they can be

That's my suggestion, yay or nay?

Napster 03-09-2005 10:24 PM

Yay, anything to get more users. Techware reviews PWN tho.

we are upgrading to VBulletin, and i've already patched the sanity.a worm exploit

Good deal. Hopefully we'll be able to get my hack in that I suggested a while back about previews of threads on a mousover of the thread. Unfortunately, that thread had to get locked due to some childish behavior.

This forum needs Vbulletin now!!
someone who has the 80 bucks just put it up and go buy it.
We would get so many more hits and unique visitors because
vbull is already SEO (search engine optimized).

Jason425 04-27-2006 10:48 PM

didn't we already try vbulletin?...

Hmm...

I think there was a test version up at one point. I don't even know what's going on myself.

I can hook you up with vB, but don't say its legal. Also, I do agree with the first post. vBulletin > PHPBB. Trust me, I've had my forums for about 3 years now.

Illegal copies of vb never work, you wont be able to update and its not legit, you dont have a username and passcode which means you cant install plugins and stuff easy from vbulletin.org but yea vbull pwns all.

If techware wants more hits and more users i recommend it greatly.

lpxxfaintxx 04-30-2006 06:27 AM

I don't know about you, but my site has been running on a illegal copy of vB for 2 years, and it never gave me any problems. Whenever theres a new patch, download the new patch (illegally, of course). If you need plugins, then get it from another site.
