Norton Redirector

Anyone know what it is???

Every time I download new virus definitions from Symantec, I get prompted to install Norton Redirector. I looked on Symantec's web site but couldn't find much information about it.

Maybe it's just badly named or maybe I'm just paranoid - but a product called "Redirector" sounds like something I wouldn't really want. Does anybody know what it does? :confused:
