Or is it a bios problem...if so how do I fix???

buy a PCI IDE controller maybe?

rob 11-07-2004 03:53 PM

thanks! that sounds like a maybe!

To bad I have no more free PCI slots

Jason425 11-07-2004 05:25 PM

maybe it is time for a new mobo then

A PCI controller would be a cheap fix, but you'd be slowing the biggest bottleneck in any computer even more (down to a 1/3 of it's speed)! Just a warning!

problems all solved...

Thanks....

It was the HD that caused the initial problem....

Then the Windows copy I had wasn't bootable....

I had a shit IDE cable....

And a broken floppy....

So it's always the little things...thanks for everyone's help and suggestions I really appreciate it!!!
