Stupid question about video card...

I have a 4x agp port in my system and a 2x/4x compatible video card.  How can I tell if my video card is running at 2x or 4x?  Is it forced to run at 4x since that's what the slot is or can it still run at 2x?  I want to make sure I'm getting the most from my card.  Thanks for the help.

yeah chef's right. press whatever it says on the first screen besides your vid card screen, but if it just says Dell or something and doesnt say hardware info, press F1, F2, and Del before your OS starts to load. Then you in your BIOS. search it til it refers to AGP and try settin it. if you change something, make sure you dont save unless your sure it was 4X.

You probably are not at 2X cuz most AGP4X mobos run at 1X and 4X only.
