Computer webcam help

Hi,

I have an intell computer web cam, i wanted to make it so that it is always hooked up to my computer which i did, and i wanted it to like take a picture every 5 - 10 seconds when i am not their. And while it takes the pictures i wanted it to be burning them to a cd. Is this possible? Thanks

I woulden't think so, burning something to a CD, even a single picture would usually take longer then 10 seconds. You can store them to your hard drive, and burn them later if you wish though

You can use Webcam Timershot from the Microsoft PowerToys. You can set it to save directly into the temporary folder which stores files waiting to be written to a CD.

I, too, am not sure how you would write files to a CD as it takes the pictures. However, it wouldn't be efficient at all to write the files one at a time. You would be writing a file table each time and all the file tables (pretty much duplicated over and over again) would take up most of the space on a CD. 60 or 70 megs would be usable for pictures, max.

ok well still...burning them later would work but how can i set it, with a program or something, so it takes a picture every 10 seconds, and 235 are you talking when the camra takes the piture it takes longer than 10 seconds to save it, well i know the computer can have the image in about .55 secons, i timed it. Thanks for the help guys!
