Sorry I forgot to list what im running: P4 3.0 prescott using As5 thermal water cooled, ATi X800 256 ram AGP, 1gb ddr ram, dvd and cd rw drives, SATA Maxtor 80 gig, thermaltake full tower, 480 watt power. |
put ice in the water 8)
kidding, I have no idea why it would be running so hot |
get some better thermal grease like AS5.. and make sure it's installed correctly.

what is the case temperature?
|
First of all, make sure the water block is seated correctly. I ran a water cooled system for months with temps in the high 50's and when I had to pull the water block off for something my temps dropped almost 20 degrees after I put it back on.
|
Also, what kind of water cooling system is it? Are there any restrictions in the tubing such as bends? Make sure the pump is pumping correctly, have it on its own molex power cable. If you have the pump on the same line as your case lights or hdds, then your pump isn't going to get a straight line of power and will slow down (had to find this out the hard way).

The case temp is 27 c
the water coller is a hydrocool 200 ex by corsair and ill cheak the water block. ty |
Thank you CiKoTiC it was my water block. my comp is now running at
52 c :) |
That's still a bit high. You shouldn't have anything over 45C.
|
I would argue with that, but for water cooling, I would be furious if I had temps like that...
