IMAP on outlook express problem.
 

Hi guys, I am using imap for my emailing. The problem now is everytime I send out a email with attachment. Some people will receive up to 20 times the same message with few pages of unreadable text.... why is it like this...?

Well, you're not using IMAP for emailing ... you're using IMAP for receiving your email. That method, however, is completely independent from how you send mail, which is SMTP. What you're talking about sounds like a message encoding problem, but I'm not sure specifically what would be causing that... Have you tried asking your ISP (or whoever's SMTP server you use)? Also, are you using an antivirus program for filtering your email? Do you get the same problem when that's completely disabled?

If you want to check your general mesage encoding options, go to Tools -> Options -> Send. Under International settings, I have my Default Encoding as Western European (ISO), and "When replying to messages, always use English heders" checked. Under HTML settings, Encode text using Quoted Printable, and do not have the option checked for "Allow 8-bit characters in headers." The last two options are checked, though (Send pictures with messages, Indent message on reply, checked). For Plain Text Settings, I have MIME message format, encode text using None, unchecked "Allow 8-bit characters in headers," automatically wrap at 76 characters.

Also, I'm not sure what it would help, but you can also enable debugging logging under the Maintenance tab for "Mail" (which I presume includes SMTP).
