Update 2 old computers= 1 working computer
??? Hey Guys;
I found that the Tosh Sat Pro 440CDT/CDX motherboards were interchangeable, however, the LCD for the 440CDX only has one ribbon from the LCD to the motherboard where the 440CDT had two. One for power and one for dimming. The machine powers up no problem and the OS loads as per normal, the screen even works to a point to where the Win98 logo comes on then the image fades and I am left with a purplish/blue blank screen. Would there be someway to get into bios and maybe disable the brightness control feature which would possibly leave the screen operating but with no controls??? Re: Update 2 old computers= 1 working computer
Just a question on the LCD type that is available on the CDT and the CDX. Is one an active matrix screen and the other a non-active matrix?

I believe they are both active matrix. Found out the mother board fit like a charm, but the LCD was a different wiring profile. Got lucky and found another 440CDT LCD and am back in business..Tks
